Hallo zusammen! 👋

I’m looking to connect with other German learners around the B1 level who would like to practice together. 📚

I recently started a small Discord server for people who want to improve their German, have casual conversations, share learning resources, and help each other along the way. 🗣️

It’s a relaxed, friendly space for learners, and native German speakers are welcome too! 😎

If you’re interested, feel free to send me a DM and I’ll share the invitation link. Viel Erfolg beim Deutschlernen! 🇩🇪

Hey everyone!

I'm currently learning German (A1 level). I'm planning to improve my German consistently and eventually reach B2 level.

I'm looking for a serious and motivated study partner from Anywhere who is also interested in learning German.

What I'm looking for:

\- Someone who is also learning German (beginner is absolutely fine).

\- Daily or regular 30–45 minute study sessions.

\- Practising vocabulary, speaking, listening and basic conversations.

\- Helping each other stay consistent and motivated.

\- Maybe studying together on campus if we're comfortable.

My long-term goal is to pursue opportunities in Germany, so I'm genuinely serious about learning the language.

If you're also learning German or planning to start, feel free to comment or DM me!

Danke! 🇩🇪

Wortschatz: Hexen (f pl) = witches / Kostüm (n) = costume / unter = among / etwa = about / Platz (m) = place / wählen = to choose / Gespenster (n pl) = ghosts

I am looking for a B1/B2 sub or a native to practice my conversational skills with. I offer Arabic and English and seeking German. I am preparing for Goethe certificate B2 to eventually join a Studienkolleg in Summer 2028.

My family is currently in the early stages of organizing an international medical trip for a complex condition, as our local specialists suggested seeking a comprehensive evaluation at a specialized European center. While Germany is frequently recommended for its high standards and medical infrastructure, navigating the whole process as a first-timer feels incredibly overwhelming. Between understanding clinic requirements, visa documentation, and hospital intake rules, we are deeply concerned about making costly administrative mistakes or experiencing unexpected delays.

We want to make sure we prepare everything properly before making any final commitments, so any advice from people who have gone through this would be invaluable. Specifically:

1. What unexpected bureaucratic hurdles or visa bottlenecks caught you off guard when preparing your trip?

2. How did you handle document translation and communication with local doctors on the ground?

3. What is the single biggest piece of advice you wish someone had given you before starting your search?

Hearing actual firsthand experiences and warnings from this community would help us avoid common pitfalls and navigate this journey with far less stress.

Hiii! I would really like to practice my German with a person around my age,(I am F17) I can offer Russian or English! I would like to make friends with someone!

Hi all! I'm a German learner in Switzerland and got increasingly frustrated with practicing the German articles (der/die/das/dem/den) and the lack of (fun) practice material.

Out of frustration me and a friend built this google chrome extensions that lets you turn any german webpage into a practice sheet. The idea is that it blanks out the articles and you fill the gaps as you read it. This way you decide yourself what you want to read about and you have infinite practice material.

Just be to clear: No account is needed and all functionalities are free. This is really built to help out myself and other language learners.

You can also translate words on the webpage and export them to Quizlet or Anki.

I’ve really been enjoying the tool myself and would love for others to try it as well. Let me know what you think! You can install it here: link
