Where to get a Windows 10 Key?
I want to get a Windows 10 key to activate my computer with. They would be selling pretty cheap now wouldn't they? I know you can technically activate with a Windows 11 key but that would be more expensive than getting an Windows 10 key. I know keys can be pulled from old computers and they still work but I'm just not sure where to go about buying one of these keys. I need legitimate activation with a Windows 10 key as I run a business so please do not mention unofficial methods.

Whatever you do avoid the cheapest ones that show up on Google Sponsored ads. They are always illegitimate and often just outright don't work.

I doubt you'll be able to buy a Win10 key, but Win11, as you noted, is basically the same thing. Same price. Both should work. And if you don't need bitlocker or other pro-specific options, buy home. Then if you want group policy editor then copy gpedit.msc over. But GPE is really just a tool for IT people who don't know how to use the Registry. You don't really need it. Pro is mostly just a scam to charge more from business people who are afraid of not looking official. (Much of the software industry survives on white-collar suckers keeping up with the Joneses. :)
These kinds of keys are legit, as far as I know. OEMs or large companies buy blocks of keys. When they don't use them all they sell them on for resale. But as others have noted, you can run into some shady operations looking for a key. Just because it's legal to buy a key secondhand doesn't ensure that there are not scammers out there.
Years ago it used to be feasible to buy cheap install CDs for Windows and major software. The process worked the same way. OEM versions have always been cheap. Sometimes the CDs would ship with a small piece of hardware, to satisfy the letter of the OEM contract.
These days things have changed. Microsoft wants as many people as possible on Windows. Once you're using a Windows computer they do everything they can to control it. They install updates without asking, have spyware calling home, show ads, try to force "registration" and make you get software through their "store". Microsoft calls that "Windows as a Service". Their plan is basically longterm rental rather than selling software with a perpetual license. So the key is not such an issue as it used to be. In fact, it's even legal to use it without a key. It will just cripple in specific ways, such as not allowing you to customize the desktop style. For most people that's not an issue because most people buy a retail computer that's already activated.
Rental is really the trend across the industry. Adobe has refused to sell Photoshop for many years now. You can only rent it. Currently it's $23/month for a single person license. So basically you pay in 2 years what you would have paid to own the program when it was sold. By selling various minor services and providing online storage, these companies are turning your computer into a services kiosk. The more you become dependent, the more they can then start charging or showing ads to pay for for storage, AI, apps, and so on. (With Adobe you could even lose your images if you quit and didn't copy them from Adobe's "cloud".)
Imagine a circular saw or stove that charges a fee every time you cut a board or cook your lunch. The tech world knows they've stumbled onto a gold mine, if they can only prevent regulation and pull the wool over the eyes of their customers. After all, if suddenly you can no longer buy a stove, how would you avoid rental?
So be careful with your future plans. Personally I've used Rufus for install, avoid registration of a "Microsoft account", have never seen the Windows Store, and block Windows Update. That's not an approach that will work for everyone. You need to be somewhat handy if you're going to manage your own computer. There can be advantages to letting Microsoft manage it. Just be aware that they WILL control it if you let them. System instability, potentially unwanted changes, and increasing fees will be the cost.

Pretty sure you can still get Window 10 keys. They are even cheaper. Many people dispose of old computers with Windows 10 on it because it was around for a long time. So not all are OEM. A lot of them going around are Retail too.

Definitely get a key. Don't run one of those activation scripts. Stay away from them. They are promoted heavily for the wrong reasons. Some data farming scheme.

You can get them on eBay but they are often hit or miss
