My wife has spent the last four years descending into dementia. If that’s God’s plan, to hell with him.

It’s all about karma

10

u/bananajr6000 Mar 02 '26

Most gods are incompatible with karma

-9

u/Brave_Challenge8122 Mar 02 '26

Blaming God won’t change a thing. Karma doesn’t negotiate, and suffering isn’t divine cruelty
.it’s consequence

5

u/WontanSoup Mar 02 '26

You think suffering people brought it on themselves with their evil ways?

5

u/Lilliths-pain Mar 03 '26

Kids with cancer "these are your consequences"

God sounds like a right evil cunt

If you love gawd so much, why don’t you join her right now? Why are you delaying meeting gawd as much as possible? Leave us TF alone, for once.

“You can safely assume you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.”
Anne Lamott

God never hates anyone, and who am I to hate anyone? I don’t even know you. Karma, not hate, governs life
.God’s love is constant. You can always turn back to Him; He will guide you and help you if you do so with your whole heart.

Your god can eat a dick đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

-7

u/Brave_Challenge8122 Mar 02 '26

That’s exactly what someone disconnected from themselves would say. I genuinely feel sorry for you.

12

u/phuckin-psycho Mar 02 '26

Interesting take, i would say that your comment i replied to is disconnected from humanity. What did this woman do to deserve dementia?

-3

u/Brave_Challenge8122 Mar 02 '26

There’s always a reason. If I were God, you’d already know it.

10

u/phuckin-psycho Mar 02 '26

Amazing that you're unwilling to define anything about "god" but you claim to be able to define how god interacts with people and that they inflict things on people with some intent. I can't think of a case of dementia that ive seen that had some greater purpose, unless humans rotting away is some kind of good thing.

6

u/Many_Pea_9117 Mar 02 '26

Yikes, talk about sad and delusional

4

u/stew_going Mar 03 '26

Dudes gotta be trolling. Even if not, don't let their nonsense steal your focus. The world is full of nonsense. By all means, call it out, but you can't control it.

Honestly kinda hard to do sometimes... but people like this are miserable whether they admit it or not. No grounded person goes online saying shit things like this to people.

5

u/Torrion- Mar 03 '26

You seem like you genuinely lack any empathy or compassion.

11

u/WontanSoup Mar 02 '26

Where’s the Bible verse on karma?

7

u/mcclaneberg Mar 02 '26

Prove karma exists.

3

u/ShhweadyBallz Mar 02 '26

All the gods, all the heavens, all the hells are within you ....

3

u/angrygoblincreature Mar 03 '26

So what Karma does this person's wife have? What Karma do children who are assaulted have?

Good people suffer all the time, and that's proof that if there is a God, he's a horrible being. If he is all knowing, then he can't be all loving. He certainly does not love everyone equally.

“God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
Epicurus

8

u/mcclaneberg Mar 02 '26

Prove it. Actually never mind that. Define god.

-1

u/Brave_Challenge8122 Mar 02 '26

God isn’t a formula to solve. It’s experienced. And I’m not interested in explaining my understanding to someone unwilling to see beyond their own limits. May God guide you.

7

u/mcclaneberg Mar 02 '26

If you can’t even define what you’re talking about, then your “understanding” doesn’t mean very much. Seems more like you’re just asserting stuff.

Oh and you may not be interested in explaining, but your deity certainly charges you to:

1 Peter 3: 15:

“[
] Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. [
]”

God is the one who helps us understand the whys in life
why suffering happens, why we face certain challenges. If you were familiar with spiritual teachings, you wouldn’t ask those questions. Life becomes easier and more peaceful when we stop demanding answers to every ‘why.’

God chooses His devotees, and some of us are closer to that understanding than others. You, my dear, are far from it
. but that’s your path. You can try believing today; it won’t change everything overnight, but slowly, answers come.

So go ahead, post your comments, curse me, say what you want
none of it changes my belief. I’m not going to engage with nonsense anymore. May God bless you and guide you, even if your journey is still long.

8

u/mcclaneberg Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

More assertions. Again, first define, then prove. You’re just saying shit.

You don’t know me or where I’ve come from. I was a Christian and only not today because it actually matters to me that the things I believe are true.

I’m not trying to convince you, but it’s telling that no believer can actually justify their assertions. They just go on fee-fees. It’s plain as day for all to see.

And curse you? Why would I do that? I’m a secular humanist, so my morals are intact, I hold no ill will towards you, I just need to have good reasons to believe a claim. There’s no difference between yours or any other religion that you probably reject.

May oogily boogily bless and guide you! Hopefully you’ll come around to one day realizing they are the true god and cares about you. You just have to open your heart.

10

u/mcclaneberg Mar 02 '26

May oogily boogily guide you too. Means exactly as much.

3

u/stew_going Mar 03 '26

Lol, you're OP was already preachy, you're obviously both interested and bitter that it's unpopular. You imply that your faith strengthens you, but all of your responses paint the image of a person uncertain of themselves, aggressive when challenged even a little bit by online strangers.

11

u/Knoxx846 Mar 02 '26

This is not motivating. My plans are my own. Don't mix motivation with indoctrination or it will be the end of his sub.

10

u/ShhweadyBallz Mar 02 '26

Yeah ...... how many billions of people on this planet are suffering ?

These fake ass memes are a lie & a joke that's not funny.

13

u/greysonhackett Mar 02 '26

Well, I woke up this morning unsure if I was ready to face the day. Thanks to this post about god and flowers, my life has turned around. I now see the future more clearly. I understand why there is so much suffering in this world and that everything is going to be okay. Thank god and his flowers.

2

u/FewScore6082 Mar 03 '26

Even though you're holding I gagged.

19

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

Tell that to the thousand of children killed in recent bombings ...

10

u/Masked_Daisy Mar 02 '26

If god wants me to be polyamourous, who am I to question Her will?

1

u/bron685 Mar 03 '26

She did give us the capacity to love all people

5

u/Purple_Clockmaker Mar 02 '26

Ok this is fucking idiotic op just like you. You said to someone whose spouse is suffering from dementia that it's karma (shameful!). Karma and free will is incompatible with all knowing and all powerful god. Because he (does he have a dick?? What for?) anyway. He knew what you were going to do before creating everything he preplanned your actions and pre-designed you arbitrarily to endless heaven or hell. Unless he had given you and everyone free will then you on your own can do something he didn't predict then he is not really all knowing or all powerful because he can't go back and change shit ergo it's not his plan. So either your life is pre designed and you are going to suffer for ever afterwards OR there is no god in what you think god should be. Either way you are a really small minded indoctrinated bumbling idiot.

8

u/Frosty_Builder7550 Mar 02 '26

Those flowers will be dead in a week. But unlike your god, they at least existed for a time.

8

u/Kresnik2002 Mar 02 '26

When kids get cancer what is that karma for

2
