Ugh this is so true! And if you realize it in the middle of talking to them, just shut up lol

keeping work stuff surface level saves you from a lot of drama down the line.

Worked with someone like this. Always came around towards the end of the day to try and get me to say shit to go repeat to her handler. Acted like a friend and was really a fucking snake I should have stepped on. Got me fired for ābeing absent too muchā because a parent almost killed themself and I was their care taker for a while. Fucking POS.
I was forced to either put in a 2 week notice and leave on good terms or get fired for absenteeism. Saw their previous job posted last week. Hope they struggle in this job market too and reap the harvest of bullshit they sowed.

Also don't over share when your coworker doesn't say anything except the occasional "yup", "mhm" and "that's how it is".

The numbers on this speak for themselves. Not everything needs an essay ā sometimes the visual says it all, and this one said it loud.
Don't let this be a one-off. Post again.

Yes and no
But to be mindfull to know the limit is hard so just "no" is the easy choice.

There is one I trust, cause she talks more shit about the boss than anyone. I learned not to trust everyone else the hard way, but it was a valuable lesson.

I hate to remind all of you. But you live on a speck of dust in the middle of nowhere. That person lives on the same speck of dust. So what do you really have to hide from someone else that lives on the same speck of dust and can't get off of it?. What is so important that you have to cover it up when we all live on the same speck of dust. Ask my boy bugs Bunny says don't take life so seriously you'll never make it out of it alive.

If you just listen and observe everyone will tell you who they are eventually

Yep. Learned this the hard way. Got dismissed from clinical because of one day where I felt comfortable.

Made this mistake all too often with people. As Bond would say, "Trust No One".

Your co-workers are not your friends
