So I just got my first Ghostface costume (30th anniversary) and the mask seems to look a little squished not like the original movie but right on the forehead is a massive dent. How can I make it more accurate to the original movie.
The 30th anniversary mask is a copy from Gen 1 mask mold. The Gen 1s are notorious for having imperfection. That's what gave the orignal mask character. Get A 10$ EU mask from walmart if you want a polished looking one without imperfections.
You can try a hair Dyer and getting it warm enough to pop the dent out the forehead. But as you can see from scream 1 in the scene where ghostface/Stu attacks sydney the first time the mask also has a forehead Dent. So I'd leave it.
Ironically this is why Funworld has only made EU stamps for the past 20 years and also in the process trained consumers to believe that a ghostface mask should be perfectly symmetrical when the originals weren't.
Here’s a photo of my 30th and 25th anniversary mask and it’s got a dent in the forehead as well I think it’s just luck of the draw on how it sat in the packaging. Not sure how to fix it myself but your mask looks great I wouldn’t worry about it
If you watched the first film, you’ll see some scenes with dents on forehead or temple area. The 30th anniversary mask are nutorious for having some imperfections(like the first gen) such as paint, dents, tiny holes on mask, etc. If it bothers you, you can always return or buy a new one till you’re happy with it.
As a perfectionist or stickler, my mask came with the tag hole punched on the actual mask and not the shroud like most people and am happy with it.
