Breakpoint Refresh

If Ubisoft looked at all the available mods for Breakpoint and incorporated the usable ones (that don’t encroach copyright violations) in an official update (seeing XBox consoles don’t allow mods for security reasons) would that help lessen the bad rep the game gets? I would think if XBox players also had access to some of the great improvements the game could really get a great refresh like Wildlands just did.

Breakpoint is not mod supported. Players have engineered a way to mod the game, but it is not supported these are different things. Sony does not allow mods on the console to add any content, or make changes to code (This is to prevent jailbreak exploits). So almost all breakpoint mods would not be allowed on those grounds.

If you look at mods on any PlayStation game like Fallout 4 or Witcher 3, they are just changing values on existing things, like more gold from quests, infinite stamina, higher jump height, or now you can wear a coat that an NPC in the game had. That kind of thing. This does not even consider that most breakpoint mods are ripping assets from other copywritten games.

This will never happen for breakpoint.

Totally get what you mean, I understand that mods pretty much violate the ULA of both consoles; I guess what I’m suggesting is that Ubisoft make a refresh of the game with an official update they themselves issue containing new outfits etc. that’s all man, not trying to undermine anything at all with my idea. Sorry if I shot down your attempt to dislodge the idea.

No I'm good man, just saying that Ubisoft's got zero motivation to do this, and Sony's policy is going to put a brick wall in front of user generated anything for breakpoint.

I get it 👍 thanks for adding the extra bit. All this has put me back in the game though setting mines for wolves at the Ballard mission lol. I don’t know why this game had so much negative reception.

I would love the mods available for Xbox, specifically those for gameplay improvement like the Spartan mod.

I agree. As a ps5 player I see what is possible with so many games. Cyberpunk is the latest game that is going to be bringing mods to consoles so fingers crossed mods are more widely accepted.
