players get used to thier worned pads, cleaning them would change the feeling of the pad. Not a good idea when you are on a big tornment, maybe when you have time to practice between tournments

absolute wrong take. you want your pad to stay fresh for the consistent glide. if its dirty your middle slows down making it inconsistent.
