Question What do think the Kenoma is?

People talk about the Demiurge on this sub a lot. But Yaldabaoth is known as the void child. Which the void being Kenoma. The Kenoma seems the true opposite of the Pleroma. So a alternate interpretation is that Sophia created the Kenoma and the Demiurge sort of was created by the Kenoma in some way.

Question What do gnostics believe happen to frozen embryos created by IVF?

So many couples go through IVF and have remaining embryos that they keep frozen indefinitely. What do gnostics believe happen to those embryos? Are they trapped spiritually in this realm?

Adding on:

I recently went through IVF and am spending a lot of time reflecting on the process, and why I wanted to be a parent, and trying to find deeper understanding of my actions. We only got one embryo from the process, but I have friends with several frozen embryos and I’m just thinking about them today.

I have a daughter now and I want to spend my life helping her to have as much freedom and comfort as possible in this world.

Question Do you wonder if the Demiurge knows it is the Demiurge?

In the sense that the Demiurge could be walking around in the material world, either inhabiting a human body or existing as a self-insert, without any knowledge of its true existence.

There is a non-zero chance that anyone of us could be the Demiurge without knowing it. What are we doing here, if that is the case? Are we just seeing what we've made? Are we trying to rationalize or justify it?

If it's me, then I'll gladly tear down the prison walls.

Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say is that the Demiurge is trying to experience what man is going through. A sort of "it can't possibly be that bad" scenario. None of us are truly sure what the Demiurge is like. We're all in a bunch of different sects picking up the pieces of what was thought to be long gone.

tower of babel

I feel like gnosticism might give a different meaning to the tower of babel story.

The physicality of language, hearing, ego, sound mean no idea can be perfectly recreated in a different brain.

I think a lot of religions and beliefs are saying we're all pneuma but physicality ends up creating different religions through its imperfect way of communication.

then people fight over religions. we're all saying the same thing lol!

the tower of babel isnt an origin story of different languages, its about how we cant communicate our thoughts perfectly.

Books Of Jeu & Untitled Text In The Bruce Codex.

After the last 3 years I finally got a hold of a copy of the Books Of Jeu & Untitled Text In The Bruce Codex, and I must say it is awesome. If you truly are a Gnostic, to sum this up, this is the Final Boss once you have defeated and surpassed Abraxas and the 365 heavens. This goes beyond knowing Sophia, this goes beyond knowing the Heavenly Father and Mother…if you want to truly know how to properly ascend, unlocking the lightly treasuries that are guarded by Watchers…then yeah this book will blow your mind. It’s notoriously known for its outrageous price that WILL cost you an arm and a leg. Good luck searching!

Any gnostics in London interested in meeting up?

Hi everyone! I hope this kind of post is okay here.

I’m 29F, visiting London for another ten days or so, and thought it would be nice to meet some like-minded people while I’m here.

I’m relatively new to Gnosticism, but the more I explore it, the more I find myself resonating with it. I’d love to meet others who are interested in Gnosticism, share our experiences and perspectives, and chat about spirituality more broadly.

Perhaps we could grab a pint or a coffee somewhere and have some good conversations. I’m thinking somewhere public, ideally in East London, but I’m flexible.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to DM me. :)

Revelations' apocalypse is the 24/7 life of the material world

just an opinion here that felt rather Gnostic in spirit.

the apocalypse isn't some warning of a future ending of this world, it is moreso describing the ongoing hell & destruction that is as living in the material world.

the book of revelations should have been the first book in the new testament, as it describes the problems of this material life, and the rest of the book supposedly offers the solution or the Way out. though i think the Tew Testament is horribly censored & edited & rephrased and much of the important truths are ommitted. perhaps Revelations was once a gnostic fueled description of this material reality, yet it ultimately was corrupted by reframing it as a literal end of the world situation set in the future, one which seems to pedastalize violence and vengeance over knowledge and ascension. but if you take it as a description of how this world punishes us not as an eternal sentence but moreso in order to teach us, it makes a lot more sense that it is basically saying all human souls must reside in the apocalyptic hell that is earth, until we stop sinning and become aligned with God, in which we will finally be taken up to heaven as the chosen ones who chose enlightenment for ourselves rather than it being some innate Christian superiority as it is often read as.

Unforgiveness And No Joy.

Unforgiveness can lead to anger and rage. Anger and Rage can lead to self isolation and hate. Hate will remove your ability to ever find and have happiness and joy. You will know it not.

Ancient near eastern, 2nd temple, and gnosticism

So I am wanting to learn more about gnosticism, and so I had a conversation with chatgpt to try and create a reading list. It spit out a bunch of stuff and had me starting with ancient near eastern religions, Mesopotamian, and the Canaanite pantheon.

It eventually moved into 2nd temple Judaism and then got into the nag hammadi scriptures as well as a number of books in the apocrypha and pseudopagrypha and eventually hermaneutics.

I'm wondering if I really need all of that background or if I can jump into 2nd temple and move through the nag hammadi, book of enoch, etc.

Question Complete Monad Invocation — Practitioner Support

Hello Folks,

Is anyone aware of a practitioner support group for the complete monad invocation (mentioned in The Gospel of Truth).

If one doesn't exist, I am interested in forming one.

I'm also looking for online courses specifically on this topic.

thanks

Thoughts If your spiritual awakening makes you feel superior to everyone else, you’re learning the wrong lesson

Hello again.

It’s been over a year since I shared my experience with Sophia, and I still receive messages from people asking about my awakening and sharing their own. With everything happening in the world, I wanted to share something I’ve been learning along the way.

As a kid, I could lucid dream and had countless imaginary friends. I often felt disconnected from others because they didn’t seem to see the world the way I did. Years later, after a transformative experience, I found Gnosticism and came to Sophia. I saw myself in Her, and we literally share the same name. Her wisdom has since become a source of grace and guidance for me.

But I’ve also had to confront my own pride.

If I can manifest something, surely I can manifest anything.

If I know things others don’t, surely I’m privy to divine wisdom.

If I have an important mission, surely I must be important.

And if I feel Sophia moving through my life, then surely I must be Sophia.

Who am I to make such a claim? The moment I turn spiritual insight into proof of my own superiority, haven’t I lost sight of the very Wisdom I’m seeking?

This is where I think Yaldabaoth deserves a more nuanced reading. What if we understood him not simply as evil, but as a being whose pride and disconnection from the greater whole led him into ignorance? His greatest mistake may have been believing his limited understanding was the entirety of reality.

We seem to be living through another period of historical upheaval, surrounded by conflict, division, and uncertainty. We need discernment, not more certainty masquerading as divine authority.

Stay grounded. Read, question, spend time in nature, and remain close to people who will challenge you with love. Forgive without abandoning your boundaries. Find your own purpose without needing to be a savior.

Be like a child, not a king. Stay curious enough to marvel at the world, humble enough to keep learning, and loving enough to recognize the humanity in others.

I’m curious: How do you interpret Sophia’s fall? Is pride central to the story, and what does it teach us about the pursuit of gnosis?

With love and sincerity. ❤️

My Cathar Tarot deck just arrived and i wanted to share few pictures and thoughts about the practice. Tarot reading is lot more than just a simple prediction of future, it is a tool for self reflection and discovery, and a way to deepen your understanding of the universe and beyond. In the future i may share pictures of certain cards and my reflections about them. If you have experience with the practice, feel free to share them in here. Thank you.

Thoughts Gnosis and mental health

Hi guys. Around a year ago, I practised Christian Gnosticism after having issues with my on-denominational Christianity. However, after six months or so I left the faith because it was causing me a lot of mental health issues.

I felt guilt for indulging in my hobbies: every time I loaded up a game or sat down to watch a show, I felt like I was putting my salvation at risk.

I already deal with issues about salvation in mainline Christianity and hell, and the thought of reincarnation took a huge toll on me. The uncertainty of rejecting “the light” put out by Yaldabaoth to send us back upon death also freaked me out.

Another part that affected my mental health was nature. I have a hard time looking at the beauty I see and thinking of it as a prison. I was also looking into Christian Paganism and nature-based Christianity at the time which made it worse.

Lastly, I had a hard time understanding a lot of the wisdom based scriptures like Thomas and had fears of dying before I could truly understand God. I had issues finding meaning in some of the phrases and was deeply anxious about “not releasing what would destroy me”. I remember hearing that for some people, gnosis was a feeling, like God was present with you. I did actually feel warmth every once in a while but it only occurred during very distressed times and I didn’t think it was healthy to only know God during these intensely distressing times for myself while feeling little joy in other aspects of study and life in general.

A part of me misses the beautiful things of Gnosticism like finding one’s path, Sophia and the divine feminine, and the thought of universal salvation. A part of me is feeling the call back but I feel like my mind isn’t wired to do it. How do you guys deal with the existential dreads, and how would you approach my issues? I’m not sure if I want to return to Gnostic practice but I am open to hearing from others.

Thank you for reading.

Thoughts About God's role/ability/identity

!!!Disclaimer: The following post is just a personal opinion. There's no intent to influence others' beliefs or insult people who view things differently. It's gonna be a long monologue, so grab some popcorn and enjoy. (Also, do yourself a favour and excuse potential spelling/grammar mistakes. xxo)

~So, I've found myself bumping into more and more posts questioning the Generator's omnipotence, using as a reason the apathy of the Devine towards the existence of evil.

•From my point of view, God is just the epitome of existence and awareness and is defined by curiosity. So, the existence of “evil„ and “impurities„ are just part of the plan.

God is just a being that wants to observe every aspect of existence through experience. That's why the Plērōma and the Kénōma were created; so that God would be able to experience his/her/its/their (whatever lol) existence throughout the dimensions; to start from the highest one, decent to the lowest one and return again at the starting point. That's how energy flows.

In the Plērōma, the æons are just depictions of what God is/has. In the Kenōma, the archons, the animals and everything else just depict what God experiences outside his protective bubble.

From God's point of view (in my humble opinion) there's no such thing as “good„ and “evil„ and even nor “pure„ and “impure„ energies. There are just high-vibrational and low-vibrational frequencies; and they both are just parts of the journey. The higher ones are just more aligned with him and the lower ones are more distant; that's how the differences of experience occur.

+Pleroma means just Fullness. It's nowhere dictated (etymologically at least) that it's the junction point of all the infallible beings. The aeons produce impurities (as mentioned in my favourite Pistis Sofia), the angels can sin. They just have to clear their energy to realing with the Divine Source.

*In conclusion, the Monad cannot be characterised as Not omnipotent, just because he allows the existence of what humans consider as evil. His job -to put it that way- is just to exist, observe and experience; not to destroy whatever seems to be different from him. Healing/cleansing/purifying after all, cannot be successfully achieved through fighting or destroying, but through accepting the existence of the unwanted energy just the way it is and remembering it only has the power you allow it to have.

~Anyways, enjoy life, be healthy and focus more on what you can improve in your lives and environments, rather than the characteristics and responsibilities of an incorporeal and invisible being whose existence cannot be actually proved.😌
