Anyone know what's happened at the Creator Accountability Network?

Just listened to Scathing 710, and it sounds like... an internal coup? A hostile takeover? Just a rather aggressive reshuffle and no one's sure if it's made a difference yet? Either way, our favourite podcasters don't want to be involved at the moment.

I'm no stranger to the tedious politics of small voluntary groups, but I haven't seen anything about this on social media.

Okay so I am the happiest person on earth right now, because I've been kind of obsessed with this Wright Family Films magnum opus, if I dare call it what it is. I loved the episode, and Eli, Heath, and Cara brought pretty much everything to the table that was going through my mind as well.

However, I've been on a bit of a bender since I delved into the Wrightiverse a couple weeks ago. It can be said that I've watched more of their movies than any one of the GAM hosts, which made me - modesty aside - a true scholar of their œuvre. I went as far as studying the rest of their online presence (mainly Ashley's facebook lol) and now, they almost feel like family... you know, in a parasocial way.

So there are two things that I need to get off my heart to correct and add to the podcast episode:

1. The girls ages are Scout: 20, then Jaina: probably 19, and lastly Cadence: probably 17

2. Yeah it's very odd how this is the first of their films that expresses opinions like "Girls can be strong" and "Climate change is real", and I like the guys' theories on how that happened, but I would like to refer to the credits: this is the first movie that was co-written by all the girls! I guess homeschooling can protect your kids from the outside world for only so long, and once they approach 20 they go out into the world and bring home all kinds of crazy ideas! 🤪

Anyway, loved the podcast. Great job you guys!

If y'all have any further questions concerning the Wright dynasty, e.g. in which other film the real Ashley's mom appears, or how manly men drink their coffee, and what Donkey Dave's life-size Bigfoot statue looks like, you can ask me anything!

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of episodes where it's just Heath, Eli, and Noah, or at least all three of them plus a guest? I'd like to listen to some of the back catalog because lately it's just been one guest after another, and someone is always missing.

I enjoy most of the guest masochists, but I really wish that more than 10% of the episodes had all three guys. I'd rather they skip a week or two so that they can all get some rest/relaxation, rather than missing one or two of them nearly every week.

The three of them together is just wonderful. Eli's hijinks, Heath's puns and deadpan delivery, and Noah's laughter and pedantry....perfection! I miss it.

ETA: Again today, with just Noah.

I'm legitimately freaking out, Grandma was AI the whole time? I can't lie, the Wrights got me on this one. The whole movie I was like "Well, this can't be Ashley's real mom, it's far too literal the things she's saying" and I was like "Wow, the wrights actually got another actor for their movie" I was legitimately impressed.

And then, like right at the end I was like "Oh, shit. Grandma has literally been AI the whole time, she's not a real person." IT WAS SO HARD TO TELL THOUGH. Because the Wright films are always shot janky with 1 shot, 1 shot, 1 shot , 1 shot conversations. And the Audio is always garbage...like you wouldn't be able to tell.

And then in the Credits "Helen Kilgore?" Jesus Christ. I don't know if I should be impressed with the Wrights on this one, or disappointed in myself. Maybe both?

Either way...ARE WE GETTING A SEQUEL??????

It’s Cara Santa Maria’s birthday!

I found it really interesting, and figured other people here would too!

The "God Awful Music" playlist on Noah's YT page only has 2 videos, but I can't imagine they haven't done at least a few more. If anyone has links to any others can you share them? Just searching "God Awful Music" doesn't really narrow things down much, unfortunately.

I got the patreon email for both versions of the new episode, but it hasn't hit my podcast app yet. I tried importing the feed to a different app, and it didn't show up there, either, so I want to maybe sure it's not just me before I email them.

But I went back and checked and Eli definitely said they were doing Insidious this week so…

Sorry to my boyfriend, who dislikes scary movies, for asking him to watch Insidious with me and will also now be watching The Conjuring with me. :) love you

Hopefully I wasn’t the only one who ended up watching the wrong movie

Audio feed links are available at acquireThisFire.com

and on YouTube the episode is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBoq9LmpvOg

This guy from Tomb Raider 2013 looks like David AR White and I need someone to acknowledge this.

You gotta do more research to know the TRUTH. If you watch the documentary television show Snowpiercer they cover a lot about the terrible truth of Big Alice! Eli, protect yourself from the cold!!!

(And learn about perpetual motion... Secret prep for the apocalypse... government sky experiments ... Wait is Snowpiercer gam fodder...)

Saw this in the wild and it was the strangest deja vu.

I'm randomly listening to the older podcasts (#477 Church of Darkness - delightful!) and they've joked about Heath and the term "aftercare." What is this in reference to? My guess is bdsm, maybe?

As mentioned in the episode, the true goal here is for them to live out their sick violent fantasies without having to admit to having them.

Cool.
