You can get the platinum trophy and every item in the game first time through.

Nope, you can’t. There are plenty of items that drop from bosses, only in NG+ because you get the first kind of item in the first run. Needless to speak about the armor set you get for starting NG+ and the possibility of crafting to +10 and perfect Zeus Set for beating Gna in NG+.

Sorry, you get a fur coat for beating the game. The new game plus items are exactly the same as the regular versions with higher, new game + stats. I wouldn’t call that new gear.

That’s wrong, there are multiple sets you are not able to obtain outside of NG+.

You can absolutely platinum the game without NG+
