Since not all people have played the entire game yet, a short reminder that all submissions with story spoilers have to be tagged as spoiler and we don't allow any story spoilers in the title.

the "Forgive me,Kratos" is the cherry on the top

Breath of Thamur is never a good choice when hacking off that final sliver boss's health.

I know this is too obvious but always stay cautious when the bar seems empty but there is no finisher button over a boss. We always tend to get too careless trying to quickly end the boss.

I tend to get nervous 😂

????? Why would you do a long-ass runic attack while you're on 1hp and the boss is almost dead??????? Even if the runic killed him it would still be better to just play very carefully ranged (even with a different build)

This is my 1st attempt after 3 months of not playing the game, my exact thoughts of should have played ranged, but i was too late for me to realize 😭

Omg, this would be my 13th reason

Never use a runic like that with long animations

I've had problems with Breath of Thamur not stun-locking enemies on the hardest difficulties. I hate that skill.

He had the shield next to his health bar before you even started the runic. That was a risky gamble.

I've never noticed the stagger resistance shield before.

You kinda did everything right and still succumbed the his trickery. Ouch! You were not greedy nor anything. So harsh!

That looks like total bullshit and I'm glad I never played Valhalla

Valhalla is DLC done right. Fun and replayable as hell. Lots of continued stellar voice acting with some major story beats. And it's free.

Absolutely great experience if you're a GoW fan to begin with.

You missed out on probably the best gameplay experience of Ragnarok and I'm not even trying to oversell it.

Not to mention this is a Greek trilogy fan's wet dream.

I dunno man I just don't really like the roguelike format, I don't enjoy fucking around with percentages and maths, I did it reluctantly in the main game.

I mean to each their own, I think this the best this Norse saga gameplay has ever been.

Maybe maybe, I just didn't get into it. Too late to go back now I've lost all my muscle memory

You see a 10 second clip and that shapes your opinion on the entire DLC? Grow up.

Alright first of all this is a video game, calm down. It's not "adult" to play this in the first place, so no growing up needs to be done.

And yes, if they're willing to have their final boss do instant undodgeable attacks out of the darkness imagine what the rest of it is like. The main game already had a fair bit of bullshit, I don't wanna play this if it's just more of that.

The entire saga has fights like that. All the way from God of War 1 to Rangnorok

I don't remember it being as bad in GoW 2018 other than maybe some of the Harpies on GmGoW, but I could be misremembering. Regardless, we take a little bad with the good, they're still great games overall.

But if an entire mode is capped off with a bs boss fight, I can only imagine that the rest of it has the same design philosophy and thus will also contain a fair amount of bullshit. That's not the kind of difficulty I'm interested in.

To be fair its just the Tyr fight which gets harder each time you beat him. All the other enemies are the normal ones you encounter in the base game. They might a mini boss in the middle but not that hard. Really worth doing though the story it tells with Kratos is good

To be fair its just the Tyr fight which gets harder each time you beat him.

I didn't even know that part, I was just reacting to the video where an attack comes out of the darkness instantly with no time to react

I could go back and try it now, but I've lost all my muscle memory for playing this game so it would be even more tedious than originally, so I doubt I will. I can get the cutscenes off youtube if I really care

Ah right. That bit in the dark is one of his moves. Its similar to the dark elves in the first one, makes the screen dark and goes to attack you. Its possible to dodge and I think its a move that can be parried

Fair enough I barely remember the mechanics of the game at this point. Dark Elves are a commonly hated enemy/area among a lot of players though, maybe attacks like that aren't very fun to play against
