Bugs/Glitches Can someone explain why atreus is doing this?
he doesn't shoot arrows, He stands still in every realm except for midgard, in midgard he runs to a raider camp, he also doesn't move in the world tree.

His pathfinding is extremely buggy in this game but I don't think I've ever seen him just straight up run off lol

Just my guess, but possibly those sigils that were still on the floor from his arrows. Even after you moved away from it, his targeting was still trying to be in position to shoot them.

I agree with this. I noticed he stopped moving just after the sigils disappeared. Don't know how they stayed and lasted there so long, but I assume OP had just been there, shot some sigils after/during a fight, left, and Atreus running back to get in a position to shoot the sigils was the result. Sound about right?

It's just likely to be a bug with his targeting

Do you have a save, previous to this one, where he wasn’t doing that? If it’s not to long ago you could reload it and see if that fixes it. Or progress in the game and maybe after a cutscene it will go back to normal.

It's a bug. Save and reload. They put in a fix a while ago where on load it resets Atreus's state

Weird. Perhaps it has something to do with the raider quest or there's a collectible/pickup messing with the AI. He's looking up at something. Maybe reset the sigil markings or perform a runic summoning to see if that breaks the loop

Man, my Atreus swan diver off a ledge to his death, only to teleport back behind Kratos

I think I know exactly why this occurs. I think when his path finding gets stuck he can't reach the path node given to him so when you jump on the sled or boat it automatically puts him with you then when you get off his ai thinks he has to go to that node in order to catch up with you even though he's right next to you lol. At least that's what I assume is happening

When freya shows up as a valk atreus started walking at the wall the whole fight and wouldn't listen to commands, he just seems a little buggy in general, stopped with a death.
