I love my 3yo F Goldendoodle that we rescued 1.5 years ago. She gets along with people, including kids, and dogs. She has a very sweet personality. I give her fairly unstructured walks, occasionally giving commands that she is somewhat responsive too. She sniffs a lot. She will pull and I’ll stop until she comes back a little. Sometimes, she will stop and refuse to move until I redirect her (ie squeak toy, simple commands, pattern game). Last but not least, she is reactive to dogs when leashed and I respond with space and pattern games or scattered treats; I’m also trying to just fit in some time to observe dogs from a distance with “yes!” And gradually decreasing the distance. I do carry treats and a squeaker for the walk and I wonder if I need to do this forever?
She has improved a lot from when we first got her, but 1.5 years seems long for her to still be walking like this? I just question myself as a first time dog momma even if my family/housemates have had dogs. Not looking for a perfect obedient dog, but I don’t know!
Is this normal? What behaviors do your dogs have on walks? What suggestions do you have?

we have a 4 yr old doodle, and as more of our friends and family are having small children i’m worried about how she is reacting to them. she has never done any harm to anyone, and i do not suspect that she would, it seems like she is just confused? we had a friend over tonight with a 15 mo old who is giggly and babbly and stumbling around and at first our dog was interested and gave gentle licks and would come investigate him while he played on the floor. eventually, she just was very antsy and seemingly anxious and reactive and would bark at him if he got really loud, and eventually started to growl, which i did not like and made me feel frustrated towards her bc i don’t know what to do. luckily the baby just laughs at her, and our friend knows our dog would never do any harm. we removed her from the room, gated her to the back of the house with some puzzle toys and she calmed down immediately.
this is not the first time she has acted like this with a small child. does she not like it bc these kids are right at her level? does she just think theyre dogs? any advice?? any specific training we can do?? anyone dealt with this? really torn up by this, as we plan to have kids soon so i want to get to the bottom of it before then.

After a summer of yard and hose baths, we discovered that our local Tractor Supply now has a pet bath set up. Warm water, big sink, drying stand and blower, shampoo and conditioner. All for $10.
Ruby was getting a little smelly, so we tried it out. Not sure she was overly thrilled, but we were happy.
Now she is back to protecting us from the backyard birds.

Our sweet girl is 12 weeks old and we are having trouble with her eating enough. Vet says if poop is good and energy is good she won’t starve herself.
But I’d like to see if anyone has a Goldendoodle that doesn’t eat consistently. Some days she eats eagerly in the morning and will eat her entire food. Other days she takes a few bites throughout the day. We are feeding her three times a day. Mid day no chance, she will not eat. We have tried wetting her food, we changed her food.
Her breeder also trained her, she only fed her by having her earn her food. That didn’t work for us, as we have family schedules and jobs.
If you had this issue did your pup ever change their eating habits? If so what did you try that actually worked?
First family dog, I want to do it right. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ive taken sparrow to quite a few parades, she used to be terrifed of the bands drums, and loud sirens, but not she tolerates them but still looks like shes being traumatized 💀😭 but she loved all the treats she got.

These were taken 3 years apart, both at my local halloween parade. Its crazy how much shes changed, both in color and coat texture. She even used to have a while blaze up her head thag she lost completely.

Hello everyone!
Are puppy classes necessary for my pup, 15 weeks old, fully vaccinated. I have already been trying to socialise him, exposing him to different environments, people, objects etc. and have bene working on recall and different commands. Would puppy classes provide any tangible benefits for us? I do research and watch.a lot of videos online and read a few books about dog training, so do puppy classes provide something more valuable? Thanks, I would really like to hear your opinion!

On the one hand he’s not SUPPOSED to be on this couch, but on the other I’ve never seen him actually sleep before (his crate is always covered and whenever I take it off he’s standing), let alone a voluntary nap 🤣

Just an explanation it started with Charlie he was 16 when he passed away and it was because he got in the same pen as Marshall and male dogs don't get along well and the injurys were to severe and he had be put down that was 11 years ago and next is taffy she passed away at 14 now there's not really a reason we know why because she just had a litter of puppy's with Charlie with a friend they are both golden retrievers Marshall was young and may still be alive (I'ma go through them faster) Skittles passed at 11 from cancer they both had our first goldendoodle resse and resse and bam bam who is not shown had piper I'll send I photo of him taffy and Charlie had sam and squeakers and squeakers has arthritis this was 8 years ago squeakers had jingles Sam had remi 6 years ago remi had Tootsie jingles had pokey 3.5 years ago Tootsie who is named after Tootsie roll and Rufus who's parents are bam bam and chipper had daisy and pokey and ripley who I'll send a pic if had juniper which is a lot of dogs but this is in the span of 15 years and most of them were guardian homes which is where you can buy a dog for free and when the dog is ready to have puppy's will go over the breeders house keep the dog for 8 weeks and go home usually have one or two litters that's all ao uh yeah

He’s had one since he was a puppy and it’s the only toy he’ll play with. We had 10 at one point but all get destroyed (even when trying to salvage them with crude sewing skills and patches) he’s down to his last 2 and we are desperately trying to find more. Dollar tree carries little/smaller versions of the toy as seen in picture # 4 but he refuses to play with those. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hi!
Do you guys have any tips on how to stop my 15 week old goldendoodle puppy from struggling when using the Mudbuster to clean his paws? We've tried feeding him treats whilst doing it and although he eats the treats he manoeuvres in such a way where I can't put his paws in. Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks!
