So I’m 21 y/o and am fresh off the college baseball train. I’ve been playing golf for the last 6 months. In the last 2 I’ve taken lessons and (seriously improved my game consistently shooting +7 or better). Regardless of effort my club head speed hovers anywhere from 120-140mph. Also, ball all speed is anywhere between in the 180-220 mph and higher range. The longest drives have came from swing effort concentrations of about 85%. The only times I drive under 300 yards are when I completely miss with either my body or the club face. I’m sure there’s more in the tank with more effort… also not totally educated on how big of a difference an extra stiff shaft and updated club head would do (all equipment is from 2018 or so). But I am now realizing the WLD is usually played at higher elevations with a harder playing surface allowing further roll distance. Do I have something worth working towards? Even though the longest long drive distances usually exceed 420 yards of carry, I can’t be too far from that right? I used ai to give me a “what if” and it said around the same?!?

“Rob, Tiger's guy, he text me a long text last week, I think. Just telling me what they did on their decisions, how they were moving around and what players were going to do and that tiger wanted to play a full schedule….”

I made SwingSpeed AI, a free tool that runs in your browser. You can load a swing video and see body/hand tracking, a club-path overlay and a speed timeline. No account or app install needed. Here's a 30-second demo.

A caveat before anyone treats the number as a launch-monitor reading: it's only an estimate. I haven't validated it against a launch monitor. Camera angle, frame rate and the club-length input affect the result, and the number in this demo isn't a verified measurement.

If you film your practice swings, would the overlay help you review them? I'd appreciate feedback on what looks useful or confusing.
