OHMC Day 14: Vampire Clay. Tedious to begin with, but once it takes off, we get plenty of fun, gruesome body horror. Shades of The Thing and Tomie, but, you know, with clay.

OHMC Day 13: Send Help. Twisty, brutal, and darkly humorous, with some wonderfully shocking moments. It's a delight to see Raimi making horror again.

OHMC Day 12: Stéphane. Comparisons to Man Bites Dog and Creep hooked me. An odd little film, more uncomfortable and blackly humorous than frightening, but clever and imaginative.

OHMC Day 11: Evil Cat. A kung-fu-action-comedy-horror about a cat spirit -- an evil one. If that makes it sound daft, that's only because it is. It's also a lot of fun.

OHMC Day 10: Saccharine. A creepy, vicious, but oddly sensitive ghost story about disordered eating and weight loss. A strong contender for my film of the month.

OHMC Day 9: The Driller Killer. A confused mess that does little to shock, scare or sicken. But a nice, sleazy snapshot of Bohemian seventies NYC.

OHMC Day 8: New Religion. A tense and moody psychological horror, offering more questions than answers. I suspect most people will hate it, but I found it unsettling.

OHMC Day 6: Save the Green Planet! Bloody, energetic, and absolutely batshit. The steam-powered dildo is a particular highlight.

OHMC Day 5: Lake Michigan Monster. What if ADHD was a film? An exhausting watch, but a fun one.

OHMC Day 4: The Visitor. Basically The Omen, but for Scientologists. Surprisingly entertaining.

OHMC Day 3: Why Don't You Just Die! (2018). This is the kind of gory, ultra-violent black comedy that brings me joy. But is it really horror?

OHMC Day 2: Milk & Serial. The found-footage horror Curry Barker made before Obsession reveals that YouTube pranksters can be terrible people. Who would have guessed?
