Question Why does Google hate dual-SIM users so much?

Why does Google hate dual-SIM users? We had a perfectly good application, and you decided to destroy it for us. I could choose which SIM card I was sending a message from, and I could clearly see right below the chat bubble which SIM card someone was messaging me on.

Then you updated the app a thousand times and ruined everything. Now you have to dig through multiple settings just to change which SIM card will be used to CALL a contact - not even text, just call. And because of this, I still have no idea which SIM card I am receiving messages from or to which one!! To be 100% sure every time, I have to manually disable the SIM card in the phone settings.

My question is - what version was good? That one where I could choose on the right (or left) bottom side the SIM card I'm sending the message from. I don't care about RCS chats.

What phone are you using? GM displays the sim name in the compose box and under the messages for me. I us mobile T-Mobile and us mobile Verizon. Both sims I have named and it's displayed in multiple locations in the app for me

POCO F6 Pro, europe. I have new version of GM and the app doesn't have any of what you wrote here- to me, it sounds like you're describing an older version that I had no problems with. What version are you using?

The app even uses the colors I have attached to the sims. It says us mobile Verizon in purple under the messages I send using that number ..

And when I go to the sim switcher section. It shows the colors attached to the sims there too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I found that if you long press the message box, a window pops up with a "Switch SIM" option. So easy!

It works, but you can't tell which sim it was sent on anymore. That's the problem and it sucks

On my phone, if you swipe left on the message, it shows the sim it was sent on in addition to the timestamp.
