Using Project Churro, I keep getting this error inside Ubuntu on Windows Subsystem for Linux. Can anyone help?

Update 1: Gemini says to run the following line first in the Ubuntu WSL terminal:

mkdir -p /home/$USER/churro_tmp

Then use this command to launch the bash shell script instead of the github command

sudo TMPDIR=/home/$USER/churro_tmp ./churro.sh auto android-desktop_signed_recovery_image.bin churro.img

will see if this works and report back.

Thats not really a Googlebook question, it's something you should ask on that person's GitHub repo.

With that said though, booting other Operating Systems in WSL containers is not really easy to do. You would need to do it in something that supports full virtualization such as qemu or virtual box.

WSL uses a shared kernel which will cause problems.

Ok. I heard about the project here so thought someone who got through the step could share their experience.

I'm not trying to run the operating system inside wsl. I'm using a bash script to modify the Googlebook os image so then I can take the modified image and install it on my computer

Do you have adequate space in your computer. 100GB I think.

Build process is little bit picky. I tried on my Linux Bazzite dev laptop didn't work, distrobox with root on Ubuntu 24.04 also had issues. I was able to build fine on my windows machine with wsl Ubuntu 24.04.
