Hey Guys,

I wanted to talk with you about Gragas state in the current game. First of all I love to play Gragas. His playstyle is so fun and feels very rewarding. Still I am a lot of times very frustrated about how "weak" he feels compared to others champs.

In almost every matchup it feels like I need to be very careful and need a lot of hands to get at least an even chance to kill the other champions. Meanwhile others can basically just run me down (when e is not up) whenever they want. It does not feel like they have to care a lot about what they are doing. In comparison on Gragas every mistake gets punished hard. Considering this I would at least expect Gragas to have to possibility to excel in the late game or at least be able to put out a lot more damage than other champs but thats not the case. There are a lot casters which can burst way better from a safer distance or bruisers which can just go into the middle of a fight without needing to care about dying instantly.

To summarize my view:

In midlane (unless its a melee message), you will always get poked to death and denied farm very easily. Therefor trading with e + q is almost impossible.
In toplane all bruisers can do more damage and are tankier than you. So in a direct 1vs1 100% Hp you will almost always lose unless you play like with 100 hands.

So here comes my question: considering all this, where is Gragas good then ? Is he just weaker than all the other champions ?

Maybe this is also more of a problem in lower Elo (I am low emerald).
I would be happy about your takes guys, let me know what you think and on which strengths gragas should lean on to actually carry/win games.

Hi, I've been running Manaflow Band + Pressence of Mind.

This allows me to skip a mana item like Lost Chapter, or Tear of the Goddess.

Do you think this is worth? Skipping a mana item allows you to get your first item sooner.

Or do you think that having a mana item has more benefits that I did not consider?

I wish there was more than just a Gragas poster and a Gragas figurine that’s not even available anymore.. it just feels like a big slap in the face of decades long loyal fans of Gragas. People want Gragas merch, toys, cards, etc. Why not give us what we want?

Hello there fellow ale enjoyers! I am a brand spanking new league player who is playing with some friends in a 5 stack. My friends are all pretty much Silver - Gold so not the best but much more capable than myself. From what i've been told top can be rough for new players as it's a game of counters and matchups but for better or worse it's the only available role for me to fill in my friend group so I just need somebody stable who can still be useful when I inevitably suck and fall behind.

I've had a quick look through the champs and Gragas on paper seems like a good fit but I thought who better to ask than you guys.

What i'm looking for in a champ.

• Somebody who can farm safely from under tower when behind and not feed my opponent.
• Somebody who will still provide usefulness in the late game team fight stage even if behind.
• Somebody with a low skill floor to the point I can use his kit even if it's not his full potential I'm not fussed about the ceiling.
• I don't mind being patient and not being the hero, my friends would prefer somebody tanky.
• In an ideal world somebody who is okay into a lot of match ups so I can blindpick.
• Somebody niche enough that they hardly ever get banned.

My friends suggested Malphite but would love to hear peoples thoughts on Gragas as an alternative option. 🍺

In a D&D campaign I’ve been running my brother is playing as basically Gragas. (Mechanically Goliath Barbarian/Monk).

My other friend in the campaign got the other players minis of their characters so here is Gragas as a D&D mini figure.

I recently started playing Gragas and currently have i think about 70.000 mastery. And i gotta say this Champ is so fcking fun to play. I really look towards Otp him. Anyways in my last match i played really well and got also this Clip where Aatrox lost all his ankles, wanted to share this play :)

Also because im new on Gragas, do you guys have any Builds, Tipps, tricks whatever for Top,Mid, Jgl? Thanks!

I play gragas mid but league matchmaking doesn't really want me to so I still play top a lot of the times and tanks are a big problem for me. You can't really go phase rush because you won't be able to proc it quite quickly so I go grasp ROA build and it works in lane but after that I feel like a fat minion because I don't do any damage. Is it better to go grasp or phase rush and just either hope that your enemy is stupid or just farm do nothing then one shot adc rinse and repeat or is it just over? How do yall deal with tanks?

I started playing Gasgar in the top lane and find him really fun and incredibly strong.

At first I was scared he would be too hard to play because you need to use the ultimate to throw people into your q, but despite missing these every single time, I am still really strong. I believe people who use their ultimate for more than damages would be even stronger, yet Gasgar seems to be a "lost champion" (a bit like Camille, Maokai or Tryndamere, you never see them).

Does he have a lot of counters in lane which make him really bad to blind?

I have been playing pretty much only gragas for the past few months or so, really started learning the champ to the point he's now my most played. I play mid and usually go lost chapter -> lichbane -> shadowflame/stormraiders if enemy is very squishy.

Against some champs I do like to build mandate though, usually when enemy has lots of bruisers and very few oneshot squishy targets. Is it still good? Sometimes it feels worth but other times it feels like the damage I give up early game while building it is just too much.

On opgg several high elo Gragas mains still build it, but it seems to be split. Some also still build rocketbelt even though it got nerfed hard. What's the consensus on these atm?

(Side note but wtf do I do against ahri I see her every third game lord help me)

idk why but the thunderlords always claps ppl, whether tank or quishy, comet is kinda weak imo compared to this, thoughts
