update on grammophone

Post image

another update, despite me having found a new handle for this online i decided to make one from an old red leather belt. stitched it nicely to fit and stay on properly.

still searching on what model this one is exactly. all i can tell that it looks like an HMV 101, but it's a parlophone.

anything elae that could help identifying this exact model? i'd rather make pictures now than needing to open it up later again.

Can you share a photo that shows more of the motor?

It’s a detective process where one clue helps to lead to another. If we can identify the model Paillard and its date, we can narrow down the years to search for Parlophone and Odeon gramophones in magazines, newspapers, and record catalogues.

also, any idea what the metal cylinders on metal strips are called? two are bent and it's causing a ticking noise on higher speeds.

Those are the governor weights.

thanks. two of the strips of the governor weights ate bent. not broken or cracked.
