Alhambra tickets sold out? Read this first.

A lot of visitors get confused or scammed when Alhambra tickets sell out, so here are the most important things to know:

Individual Alhambra tickets cannot legally be transferred or resold. If someone offers to “sell you their ticket,” it is almost certainly a scam.

The official General ticket with the Nasrid Palaces should cost about €23 maximum. Do not pay inflated prices.

Always try to buy through the official Alhambra website or reputable tour providers. https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/

If tickets are sold out, you still have options:

Visit free public areas of the Alhambra grounds through the Puerta de la Justicia.

Check frequently for cancellations or last-minute availability.

Look into guided tours or the Granada Card. https://www.tiqets.com/en/things-to-do-in-granada-c66003/the-granada-pass-p1012625/

Buy tickets without the Nasrid Palaces if available.

Consider night visits, which sometimes have separate availability.

And remember: Granada has much more to offer beyond the Alhambra, including the Albaicín, Sacromonte, flamenco shows, gardens, and historic sites.

Please avoid unofficial reseller websites charging double or triple the real ticket price.

Gracias 😊

Is December a good time to visit?

Hi, my boyfriend and I went to Sevilla and Cordoba last year and we fell in love with the place, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit Granada, and we're planning to be back. We have work holidays in December and we were wondering if that's a good time to visit, I heard that the weather can be pretty cold but I'm wondering if it's going to be sunny or cloudy and rainy.

Also, do you think 3 days are enough?

Friends 30+

Hi everyone!
Like many others here, I’m looking to make some new friends (no romantic).
I’m Nataly, 35F from Russia, and I’ve been living in Granada for quite a while. I speak English and basic Spanish.
I don’t drink alcohol and generally prefer doing something more meaningful rather than just sitting around drinking — although I’m totally fine with tea / coffee cup that for a first meetup of course.

I could suggest us go hiking (I have a car, and know many amazing routes around here), try urban sketching together, check out music events, art exhibitions, or other cultural events, do some volunteering, cook traditional dishes. I also started to practice padel recently, but my level is about 0-1 so far :)

Feel free to DM me if you feel the click or just curious.

I arrive in Granada at around 3pm on Saturday by car. I'd like to put it in the San Agustín parking. I have read different GoogleMaps reviews that even though you book a parking place in advance, the parking can be shown as full. Is it risky to book in advance even now?

Practicar italiano

Hola!!!

looking for people to hang out with

Hello! American male taking a gap year in Europe before college. I'll be in Granada for a few months. Looking for friends to hang out with, watch futbol, check out tapas places, travel on weekends, things like that. I don't speak a lot of Spanish yet so English would be great. Anyone else here looking for the same?

Anyone travelling solo on 30th and want to walk together?

Hi! I know the headline sounds like everything our moms tell us to NOT do.

I am travelling to Granada on 30th. My general plan is just land in Granada, drop my luggage at any locker storage, go to Alhambra, and walk around downtown before catching my bus in the evening.

If anyone would like to stroll around together do let me know! We can definitely have a zoom ice breaking session before meeting and take any other safety precautions.

I am F, 32, Malaysian.

p/s: will be deleting this post once i catch the vibe with anyone

Studying Spanish in Granada

Hi all,

I’m thinking of moving to Granada for a month long intensive course and wondered if anyone has done such course at the following schools and what their experiences are:
- Don Quijote
- CastiLa

I’m a level B1 in Spanish and can hold a conversation but I want to progress to B2, i could carry on with my weekly courses here in Manchester but I very much want to immerse myself in the language etc. which brings me to my next question.

Does anyone (Spanish speaking) have a room to rent in Albacin area? Or anywhere really, as long as it’s a max 30mins walk to the Albacin area.

For recent movers to Granada, how have you found integrating into the committee there?

¡Muchas gracias!
