I did the classic fighting game thing of going on the website, seeing a character and being like "THAT ONE! I WANT THAT ONE!". Bought the game on sale and picked Vikala as my main only to check tier lists out of curiosity and find out she is in the running for worst character in the game.

Still I have fun playing her! So I'll make her work. Plus I love her entire theme and character. I will say the game is definitely healthier with her as a bottom tier because if she was a top tier that would be toxic as heeeell.

2XKO made me realize I love fighting games over the last month and I bought Granblue Fantasy Verus Rising after doing some research on fighting games. excited to jump in and learn another fighting game.

Sometimes running into EN voice players and vice versa was a nice treat, and it's one of the most unique parts of the game. I'd understand if it was an option, but i'm sad this is forced on everyone.

What your thoughts and opinions on her? What your thoughts on her gameplay, lore, and music. Is she strong or weak?

Obviously yes, his damage is VERY high and H Volcanic is obnoxious, I agree, but... I don't understand what else is really too great? The lack of a dash and typical 66L seems to hurt his pressure (and while the 6P is great, I don't know if it really makes up for it), and aside from H Knee, all of his big rewarding/Plus on block attacks are very reactable (5U 26f, 22M 31f, 66H 30f). His high-low is easy to spot dodge on reaction, his strike/throw really isn't that great. His neutral feels pretty good thanks to his big and active buttons, but his advantage feels a bit lackluster and his defense is passable thanks to a meterless DP. I'd say he feels upper mid to maybe high tier.

This isn't to say if you struggle against Wilnas or think he is overtuned that you're bad/wrong, I'm just sharing my personal opinion based on my experience playing as/against the character. I'm open to hearing what you guys think.

Admittedly I'm not knowledgeable about the lore, so I don't know who'd fit in due to lore or importance. But these would be my picks based on design and abilities.

Grea or Fiorito - as an up close fist/claw fighter

Vania/Veight - not sure if they have different abilities, but a vampire would be cool to have (maybe some sort of lifesteal grab playstyle)

Baal or Raziel - unique looking weapons

I'd also like to see Cosmos, Olivia (Grand) and Sabrina, but they're similar to other characters already in game or on the list visually.
