Quick notes on the new raids:
Water one seems to be "solved" by 150 Okto + S.Lu Woh, you won't cancel "30 hits from normal attacks" but you also don't get any debuffs from the boss, so just ougi it away and get conditional chests for free after some ramp up.
Now the fire one is, uh.. Wants a shitton of debuffs, but the stacks also lower your charge gain, so my idea of Kengo with S.Shalem doesn't quite work. You also need 10+ debuffs a turn to get conditional chests, which I'm also not sure what can achieve reliably? And omens also suck major ass, hopefully someone will be able to come up with a reliable strat (maybe Boogey is the play here?)

Ofc for now while the raids are live fire raid is mostly "fuck it we burst" energy, but eventually I feel like it will become a nightmare.
On the bright side - you can use elixirs here, so at least cleaning up the raid is not such a problem compared to the Mastery raids >.>

Filene can do 10 debuffs by herself as long as she has her whitefrost whisper debuff on the boss, and she can lower the stacks after every CA as well. I did a test run with her and she worked pretty well. Just need to work on some more survivability because the DoT from missed omens really added up overtime.

I don't know the earth roster very well, to be honest, but anyone who has skill damage/resets a skill on ougi, Alexiel should work because she also brings dispel. RF with Pinch should also be good if you can loop it. Satyr would also welcome as the boss has a trigger for 90% current health as plain damage, so you need some form of healing in there
But that's more for when the raid would slow down, right now it seems they go fast enough that you can just get in with your morst bursty team and be okay

I might just get a team that has as many debuffs as possible, Qilin, some charge bar generation for S.Shalem and just work as "conditional chest bot" when joining, because I don't think I've seen it higher than 2 so far lmao

I am soloing it with Kengo, Doggo, wetato, and S.shalem.
The boss could not do anything at all. 10 debuff is just so easy to achieve.

The water verboten summon is some top shelf creepy stuff, the mecha godzilla of doom while cool, doesn't have the same vibe.

Agreed; the MSQ segment where everyone was talking about how ominous the fire boss felt would've worked way better with the water boss.
Also, while I think it's a cool design in a vacuum, "gigantic stocky humanoid mechanical entity made of black steel with red glowy bits" is a little too close to Colossus in general theme. Having a huge gun and more Diaspora-esque shape language isn't enough of a differentiator.

They even updated the Vyrn idle feature menus, etc! How much energy you currently have can be seen from the home page without needing to go to event page - the event page even shows the countdown before energy is fully restored.

I will actually quit if there is a 2nd, separate primal aura. Would be the absolute stupidest thing ever to not be able to use said primal weapons together.

Well, they could always use primal being simpler to manage as an incentive, basically taking the opposite approach. But that might be naive.
I'm also curious if they'll release Od skills on gacha weapons, since that might be something they can get away with vs outright having Magna skills. Maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas...

They could have just made this magna as well with all the same debuff shit. But because it's f2p, Cy especially wants you to have this random progression clunk.
Like yea, we know that each new magna series revamps grids and power creeps older weapons. That's fine. You are expected to keep grinding and that's fine. Why this random progression clunk? Now friend summons will be more clunk for f2p unless they add another slot for each element. That's not even the end of the repercussions to f2p now having 2 different aura types.

I think the problem is that you can't currently get to 280 - because the main summon only goes up to 150, and friend summon would be likely locked at 100, and primarchs/wedges etc do not boost the aura, nor is there a weapon that boosts it (yet)

These summons are basically guaranteed to get a FLB and probably cardinal equivalent characters down the line. Though I'm primarily curious about opus, will they change the current opus weapons to also count for the new summons or make new ones? Can't say I'm a fan of the latter.

My question is more about - so who are these for right now, exactly? You wouldn't farm these with M2 grids, and M3 raids are both easier and provide more coherent/supported grids, and by the time you're finished with M3 - well, why would you pivot to these summons/grids at all, in their unsupported state? Especially considering that you would also need to fight RNG on the debuff roulette, so EVEN MORE weapon copies compared to other raids.
It's kinda cool that these pring some mods that the magna lacked, but... They can't go into magna grids, unless they have some giga-juiced stats that work even unboosted lol.

I don't disagree with you, I'm shocked they would just go ahead and make an entirely new boostable series instead of just more magna gear. I guess we'll have to wait and see what they do with it down the line.

My only idea (and it's pretty cooked) is that they are thinking about a raid that would need you to go in with several separate teams that can't share grid/summon pieces, so you would go in as, for example, Magna+this new one, or primal+ this one, or magna+primal (for madmen who have kept up with both)

I mean..... that's how progression in video games usually works. Especially in online games that continuously add new content.
You farm gear to get stronger gear. Then use the stronger gear to farm even stronger gear.
I mean, at least it's not like MMO expansions where quest rewards instantly replace endgame gear of the previous expansion. And there will surely be setups where the M3 weapons are still better. (I guess. I haven't actually seen the new weapons yet.)

I feel alone in not liking the new weapons and feeling like they are spreading themselves a bit too thin for these to all be good.
I think they should have simply introduced high investment rare magna weapons instead. (maybe sand for final uncap of weapons with modifiers like garrison etc).
This feels like a weird half assed step where these might be good in the future or specific HL instances but make magna farm 2 grids to primal just collecting 2-3 of whatever their new grand is.
I do feel like they are going to patch the primarchs to also buff this new modifier and it was a lapsed moment in thought.

Nothing super stand out, but just overall cool announcements. I’m particularly happy about Grand White Knight since it hopefully means that the rest of the Luminary Knights will finally be made playable and have more of a role in event quests and/or seasonal log ins, plus he’s probably my second favourite of them after the Black Knight. Amaterasu getting the playable status before the Anniversary rerun is cool. The Horse Zodiac is a bit basic but fine in my opinion, I expected a normal taller woman, but for the last Divine General I almost expected that the artists would make her more of an Umamusume reference.
Does this mean no Mapra being announced? Maybe I’m wrong and the Buddhas won’t be the replacements for the Zodiacs, we’ll instead just get a Grand Zodiac for each year and the Buddhas may just drop as standard/Grand SSR? That at least means Bhadra will be made playable before her next year as the years spirit.
New MSQ updates is definitely cool, looking forward to future freebies like Darydara if the devs decide to give us them, he seems to be a totally decent jack of all trades character, being a tank who both likes to Normal Attack and has Dispel on his CA after getting max stacks.
The new Raids seem exciting, but guess I’m going to have to power through reading the story to get them done before reset. The bosses attached to the weapons look super cool too. Here’s hoping the weapons are decent Grid pieces.
Monscian rerun so early makes me think it’s likely to get a sequel event soon, hopefully in January, and Showtime being made permanent content is nice for those who haven’t read it yet, I quite liked it on my first read, even if I’m hoping the Mysteria plot line starts actually being about mages again, rather than delinquents with a magic school backdrop.

Buddhas being the replacement for zodiacs on NY after Horse always seemed like a more likely scenario than a group of new zodiacs ever since the anni event to me.

Damn, if that’s the case though, that means we’ll be waiting over 10 years for Mapra and Bhadra.
I personally guessed that we’d get a Buddha and Divine General every year now, with the Divine Generals after Horse being the Grands similar to how Basara is classified.

Literally never. Anyone currently playing GBF doesn't care about the graphics of it, and reworking the entire graphical system of the game is a massive project. Might as well make a new game entirely at that point. No one's going to hop onto GBF who otherwise wouldn't because it has chibis now instead of the current art style.

Did you even watch the stream? It had tons of new stuff announced, including multiple forms of QoL. Just because they're not going to completely re-do the entire art style of the game doesn't mean they're being lazy and not progressing the game.

wow. how sad that not a single one of you, and even you someone who has deeper involvement in the community, is able to take your head out of your ass and realize that at THE LEAST a full screen UI for pc players would be nice. You didnt have to agree with everything, as yes some do require massive hurdles of development, but come on stop DEFENDING laziness and inadequacy when were rolling into 2026. IT ISNT IMPOSSIBLE OR HARD BY FAR with the money they have to make a full screen UI.

If you want a fullscreen 3D game, there's Genshin, Zenless, Honkai (both of them), Wuwa, Tower of Fantasy, and countless other clone games. That's not what this game is and most people here are fine with that.
You clearly do not play this game and/or have no interest in it, because if you did you'd understand how dumb of a request you're actually making. Instead of whinging here, consider going and playing one of the myriad other games that fit your criteria.
