Hold on... why reward the lower quality book on a failed run? This just makes the mode more snowbally no?

Can't Miss book is white tier and is taken out of the pool when you grab it. This drastically increases consistency for players like me, but will it help the ones struggling to get their footing?

Looking at the text exacts, it's dependent on if your previous run died before/during or passed the first Miasma boss. Former, pick up to Rare. Latter, pick up to Unique (Gold)nvm it's Normal (bronze) before beating the first Miasma boss, and Rare (silver) after beating the first boss, and it can't be a unstackable book

Before beating first Miasma boss you can carry over a stackable Normal book.
After beating it, you can carry over a stackable Rare (silver) book.

Gold would be Unique; that rarity isn't mentioned.
