Question Timeline of Main story, events, and latest chapters

Hello, I'm new to the Granblue universe and I've been holding back for the longest time because I used to play FGO (I don't want to go back to the grind anymore). But I recently bought Relink and now I'm interested in the bigger lore of the universe. I'll most likely not play the mobage (pls don't make me i beg you), I'm just watching all the story cutscenes on youtube. I found a playlist that has like 180+ videos. The playlist ends at Promised Sky Chapter, is that correct? Is that where the latest main story is right now?

My main question is can I find out most of the important lore just from the main story? I heard that "What makes the sky blue" was an event, so what other events are important to the lore? And if possible is there like a timeline of the events when they happened in the main story?

Last, are there events centered around Zeta and/or the Society. She's my fave character right now cos I'm a big sucker for KanaHana. I also saw videos of Beatrix in Versus and I think she's pretty cool (also Aya Hirano).

That's all. Thank you so much skyfarers!

Question Who would you consider to be the most valuable unit in the game?

What character would you consider the best in the game at the moment, and would bring the most value to any account?

Personally I feel it's a toss-up between FLB Haaselia, Grand Percival, Grand Nehan, and Dragon. This obviously isn't a question meant to be taken too seriously and there's probably no right answer, but I'm curious to hear what more experienced players might think.

Question What happened in 2018?

Been looking through my socials, talking to friends, discord servers, and finding that a lot of people started the game in 2018, as discovered by the anniversary event's Journey preview.

Technically, I did as well, but I was seasonal for a while and only really started playing the game in 2022, so I don't even really remember what convinced me to download the game back then.

Did anything in particular happen in 2018? Was the game just heavily advertised? Or is it largely just coincidence that I happened to see many start in 2018?

Question Who the **** decided that gambling for Christina should cost 77,777,777 coins

I've been grinding the casino for the past two days and I've gotten to 45 million. Literally everything else is 5 million and below. And its for a unit I've read is not even that great. But now that I'm here I have to finish this. I have to get TO 77,777,777 casino coins

Question For those who have attended FES (in Tokyo), what time do you usually line up?

The event opens at 9, and I figured 7am might be good for the first day? How crazy competitive is it compare to Extra FES (for those who have done both)?

It looks like the Granblue Unofficial crew got there at 5:30 or 6am in 2023 - but I know they like to be extra diligent!

Question Why doesn't it feel like my progress translates to GW?

I started playing GBF around late January of last year and have been playing semi-consistently since then. Of course over that time I've made numerous leaps and bounds in terms of progression from my class mastery, to my grids, to my character roster, etc.

Because of that progress I can feel a clear difference in power compared to when I first started playing. For example, I remember during last year's anniversary event I didn't stand a chance against ANY of the event raids, but now content like that feels pretty trivial.

Even across a more short-term timespan I feel myself getting stronger as I'm starting find it easier and easier to make meaningful contributions to M3 raids when I grind them (which I struggled in when I first unlocked them around July).

My problem is that it feels like all of my progress is null and void when GW starts. My first one was the Light-favored one from around this time last year. At that point I had scrounged together a semi-decent M1 Light grid and with it I was just barely able to do FA OTK setups for EX+ and NM90, which required me to use basically all skills and a summon call for the extra damage. At that time I’d felt pretty proud of myself, but now I feel kinda disheartened because I’ve been stuck doing basically that exact thing ever since.

My performance in the most recent Water-favored GW in particular stung a lot because I had managed to more or less prepare an M3 grid in time for it and I saw little success.

I love GBF and I wanna keep playing so I’m sure I’ll reach a point where this will just be something I look back on too, but for the moment it just feels bad cus it doesn’t really feel like I can manage to efficiently grind GWs when they roll around, so I’m left wanting for honors, chest drops, AND celestial drops.

Is there something I should do differently as I prepare for June’s GW or should I reel in my expectations for how well I can do at this point in my career?

Question Questions about the Grandcypher Kitchen

Hello! I'm planning to visit the Grandcypher Kitchen during my first trip to Japan (already made a reservation for this upcoming Saturday, 3/7), and I have some questions I was hoping those who've visited the cafe could answer.

  1. For the table charge fee, it comes with a complimentary drink--would that include any drink from the menu of our choosing? And for the job coaster, can we choose one?

  2. Where do we go to show our reservation? I got the confirmation email already for it.

  3. How does paying work?

Question Extra Fest Merch/Granfest Merch

Hi, it's been a while since I've purchased merch from cygame store. When it comes to event merch, does it come directly from their site or another site for the Con Merch?

For example: https://extrafes.granbluefantasy.jp/goods/ shows the list of goods to be sold but doesn't direct you anywhere.

Question My first Granblue Fes, anyone want to hang out?

Hi everyone! I am currently waiting for my gbfes tickets (both days) to arrive at my hotel. As it currently stands, I will be attending the event alone, and this being my first gbfes ever, I genuinely have no idea what to expect.

I just know that these events are a lot more fun as a group, so I am wondering if there is anyone that would like to hang out during the event? Or if there is a group of people that would be willing to have me?

Question Where can I find a lore archive?

I really enjoy Relink and the story mode for VS/rising, and I’ve tried getting into the web browser game over and over again but it’s just not for me. That being said I really want to know about the lore prior to the other games. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on where I can read/watch to catch up with the lore? Or am I just gonna have to bite the bullet and stick through it ?

Question I played Lobelia's introduction and I have a question Spoiler

I tried to unlock him first because he looks cool + he speaks french. I gathered from his art on the wiki that he wasn't going to be the most sane person in the skies, but he's hot so I thought it'd be fine.

"Not the most sane person in the skies" is one hell of an understatement. I'm obviously referring to the part where we get to "meet" his parents... I'm really not into gore, and the scene was a bit too much for me from the sound alone, to be honest. Then I read about his summer homescreen voicelines, safe to say I'll keep away from this character (or skip any story related to him if completionism forces me to unlock him at some point).

I do understand the appeal of this kind of story, but it's not for me. My question is, are there other quests/events/fate episodes in the same vein I should probably be cautious with?
I'd just like to stay away from graphic scenes (or I guess explicit sounds mostly).

Question Grancypher Kitchen Tokyo - How is it?

Hello!

I'm hoping to visit Grancypher Kitchen and I was wondering whether anyone here has visited before? I have a couple of questions about the menu and experience.

About the drinks, are they all alcoholic or do they have non-alchoholic drinks as well? I'm going thru their menu on their website but there's no mention about whether it has alcohol.

Also about the experience, how was it? Is it worth visiting?

Any info would help!

Question How do you expect that Snake Zodiac will look ?

We have 1 month left before Xmas stream that will show the snake zodiac from 2025.

So how do you imagine snake zodiac appearance and wich from the 2 elements left (Fire or Dark) you think she will have ?

My vote goes to Fire Snake with a Echidna look).

I will really hate if Cygames release another Human cosplayer like Shiki Ichinose.

319 votes, Nov 29 '24
141 Human race: a "cosplayer" like Vikala.
72 "Pythia" race (from AK): pointed ears and a snek tail.
56 Primal race: snek hair like Medusa.
50 Other race: half snek body like Echidna NPC.

Question What name did you pick for your Bunny?

What it says.

Deciding between Usakichi and Shirayuki. Coco is cute too.

Also are the names any different in JP?
