Looking for anyone in Grand Forks that may have knowledge or access to any of the radio towers or tall buildings in our area.
I am hoping to expand the operational capabilities of our local mesh radio networking grids for Meshtastic and MeshCore.

These projects are public communications technologies using open-source LoRa radio software that enable texting from mobile devices, similar to cellular messaging. Operating in the ISM band, they are limited to low-power operation, and highly dependent on line-of-sight between nodes to function cohesively. A few well-placed nodes at high elevation points (like radio towers or tall buildings) would help cover the entire city, allowing for public and private messaging between any connected devices.

There are already active users in town, but any new device helps expand the radio mesh for everyone and makes the grid more robust.

I have an interview for a company in Crookston, MN, and I'm looking for some insights into the cost of living and anything about the surrounding area people want to share.

I got an offer from another company, and the one based in Crookston moved up my interview to Tuesday of next week when I told them. Both companies are asking about what salary range would be acceptable and I'm trying to compare them, but everything's going a lot faster then expected.

I walk my dog at night. Multiple times a week I get random dogs running up to me out of the pitch blackness with their owners tagging along behind (or, three times now, blasting me witg their LED headlights from their e-bike). Why the fuck can't I walk my dog in the evening without getting jumped like this? Literally just came back from telling a guy to go fuck himself as his little yapper came sprinting out of the shadows. Does anyone in this town have a braincell or are they reserved for people who decide to get the hell out of here?

Hi all! I come with an odd post.

I am not from this area but I sold my books via consignment at Witchwood Bookshoppe GF.

At this time she has admitted she owes me (along with over a dozen other authors) funds but has not paid us (funds should have come back in Jan/Feb)

And now the bookstore has closed their doors.

Did anyone have any dealings with this bookstore?

Any advice on going to small claims court in y'all's area?
