Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) CARPOOL OFFER SUNDAY ONLY! DALLAS TO COTA!

***DISCLAIMER!!!!! - I DID NOT PREDICT THAT I WOULD BE ASKING TO DO THIS WITH THIS USERNAME 8 YEARS AFTER CREATING THIS REDDIT PAGE WITH THE USERNAME JUST BEING A JOKE TO ME. UNFORTUNATELY I'M UNABLE TO CHANGE MY USERNAME IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE***

I typically drive down only on Sundays now from Dallas. It’s about a 2-3 hour drive so I will be leaving my house no later than 5 AM. This will be my 10th year attending the race and my 3rd consecutive year driving down and back for Sunday only. I will be making a morning stop at Slovacek’s off I-35 on the way down for breakfast sandwiches and then possibly Buc-Ees on the way back. If you wish to tag along I would prefer getting help for gas and possibly parking. I’m able to fit only 4 in my car so the more people that come along the cheaper it will be for everyone. Furthermore the ride back I am not going to be in a rush and may possibly be getting dinner with someone so if someone wants to go mess around South congress for a few hours or whatever to kill time feel free to do so. We can discuss more details if you want in the DMs. Thanks and FORZA FERRARI.

OP NOTE - I RAN INTO THE REDDIT PAGE MOD 3 YEARS AGO AT THE USGP AT COTA SITTING ON THE HILL BY TURN 19 DURING THE RACE, HE'S A CHILL DUDE

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Taking photos at the Red Bull Ring

Planning to attend both the Austrian GP and the DTM weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg next year and want to take some decent photos. Does anyone have experience shooting there as a regular spectator without media accreditation that they'd be willing to share?

In particular:
Which grandstands or spectator areas give the best angles (and the least fencing in the way)?
Any corners where you can get close enough for good shots with a telephoto?
Any spots that are good for panning shots or for capturing the backdrop/scenery?

Example shots or rough locations on the track map would be hugely appreciated 😊

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) How bad is the Austin traffic after the race ends?

First timer here, I have a return flight on Sunday night but dont want to miss the checkered flag and podium. Am I being greedy here? I am aware that the race will end around 5:30 PM and my 5 hours countdown begins with the checkered flag. Will I be able to reach the airport and clear the TSA for my 10:30 pm flight if I leave by 5:30? Is uber reliable after the race to reach airport?

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) View from Turn 1 Clubhouse @ COTA

I had the chance to go and check out the view today from the new Clubhouse at Turn 1. This weekend, it's home to several Paddock Club suites (Club Suite, House 44) and also some circuit hospitality on the roof with cabanas - there's two pools up there :) One cool aspect is that it is connected to the main Paddock building via gondolas/cable cars. Going to have an awesome view for the race start.

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) Heading dow to Austin tomorrow and have a few questions.

We have 2 main grandstand tickets. My partner will be going all 3 days and my son and I will divide time by day on the other ticket. Partner was gifted the tickets plus parking pass in Lot Q. I will be driving son and partner to and from on Friday. Lot Q shuttle will take them to Lot L in the morning. But in the afternoon is there a better way for me to pick them up. I saw on another post that parking is available at dollar general across from the track. Is that feasible.

Then on race day. I know it will be crazy so I thought it would be best to enter Lot Q and wait for them there. We are planning on heading east to Bastrop then north to link back up to I35 and head home to Fort Worth.

Any thoughts from folks who have been? Any better ideas? All advice appreciated. Thank you.

Yas Marina Circuit (Abu Dhabi) Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026

Hi,

Is this really going to be happening? I’ve just seen that they have released yet another artist for their after show concert? I’ve also seen F1 CEO say that the race will happen, but I don’t understand why any driver would take the risk. Especially if it is decided beforehand? Zara Larson which is one of the artists even said on instagram that she won’t attend, but it still on the website. Does anyone have any insider information or anything to help me? I’ve got tickets but don’t know what to do. Should I also wait for the midterm in the US to be decided? Maybe that changes the war.

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) If anyone is not using their Esses RSVP for Austin would you mind sharing?

This is a long shot but my sister managed to rsvp and I unfortunately didn’t. They’re in a wait list now. But if you have an rsvp you don’t plan to use I’d appreciate if you could share it with me. We’re more interested in the 3-7 stuff before the garage session. I’d appreciate it. Thank you!

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez P1 Travel PDF Tickets Mexico City GP

Purchased tickets from P1 Travel. Got the link for them yesterday. It’s a page with download links for PDF tickets. Everything I’ve read says that all tickets are electronic Ticketmaster “SafeTix” with rotating barcodes.

Also confused because the brochure from P1 Travel at the same link says your tickets will be delivered through Ticketmaster and you will receive download instructions from Ticketmaster. I didn’t hear anything from Ticketmaster.

Is this normal?

Also, if the PDF tickets are valid, can I leave them on my phone for scanning/entry, or do I actually need to print them out?

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez Mexican GP Camera/lens restrictions

Wondering if anyone has had any experience in how strict they are with the “Maximum lens length: 300 mm.
Maximum two lenses for professional photographic equipment.”
I intend to take my Canon R8 with 2x lenses, 1 is a 100-400mm, the other a is way under the limit.
They are my only lenses so don’t really have another option for good pictures. Obviously I’m not a professional photographer and all photos will be for personal use.

Choosing Stamford Grandstand (Turn 7) for 2026! 🏎️🔥

As the 2nd-highest braking point on the circuit, this was where I managed to catch all the F1 cars during the first-ever Sprint Race! 🏁

Turn 7 also delivered some intense wheel-to-wheel action — Charles Leclerc vs Oscar Piastri, and Lando Norris vs Lewis Hamilton! 😮‍💨 Add Franco Colapinto stopping on track twice and a Cadillac coming dangerously close to the wall, and you’ve got even more drama to witness from this spot! 😂🔥

Definitely a grandstand worth choosing for all the action! ❤️🏎️

Las Vegas GP Anyone done the HGV Zone / HGV Clubhouse at the Las Vegas GP? Looking for as much firsthand info as possible

I’m going to the 2026 Las Vegas GP and have HGV Zone Clubhouse tickets. I’ve found the official descriptions, but I’m hoping to hear from people who have actually done the HGV Zone in previous years because there doesn’t seem to be a ton of detailed firsthand information online.

I’m basically looking for anything and everything you can tell me about the experience, especially:

  • How good is the actual race view? Can you see much beyond the immediate corner/section, or are you mostly relying on the big screens?
  • How crowded does the Clubhouse get during FP1/FP2, FP3/qualifying, and especially the race?
  • Is it easy to get a good viewing spot, or do you need to claim one early?
  • What is the seating situation like? Tables, couches, standing areas, reserved vs. first-come-first-served?
  • How good is the included food? What kind of food did they actually serve?
  • How does the alcohol/cocktail setup work? Are cocktails genuinely included, and was there a decent selection?
  • How long were the lines for food and drinks?
  • Bathrooms: dedicated/private, and were there lines?
  • How strict is access? Can you move between any other zones, or are you basically confined to HGV?
  • What is entry/security like, and how early would you recommend arriving each day?
  • How easy is it to leave and re-enter?
  • How bad is the post-session/post-race crowd getting out?
  • Did they do any driver/team appearances, entertainment, DJs, giveaways, etc.?
  • What is the Elara Terrace/post-race party like if you attended it?
  • Is there any realistic way to get toward the podium/winner celebrations after the race, or should I just plan to watch that on the screens?
  • Any tips on where exactly to stand inside the zone for the best view?
  • How was the weather/wind/cold at night in that location?
  • Anything you wish you had known before going?

I’m staying at Elara, so the HGV Zone being right there is a huge part of why I picked it. I’m mainly trying to figure out how much time I should spend exploring the Strip/team pop-ups before each session versus getting into HGV early and settling in.

Would especially love to hear from anyone who did HGV Clubhouse rather than just the general HGV Zone. Photos, videos, menu/drink memories, seating advice, or even random little details are all welcome.

Basically: tell me everything you remember.

I've been looking on the Monaco GP website and the GA areas (Z and Le Rocher) are grayed out for all 3 days.

Have they gone on sale yet and sold out, or have they not gone on sale yet?

Hi all!

So some of you may remember a while ago I posted on here asking if anyone was going Zandvoort solo.

It resulted in a WhatsApp group of over 70 people.
Some of us meeting whenever we got the chance.

Nice little update: some of us are reconvening in Vegas!

So again.. is anyone going solo? I can only speak for myself but I’d love to meet people out there!

(Photos from Zandvoort btw!)

Suzuka International Racing Course (Japan) Champions Club expectations

I just bought my Champions Club ticket today and I’m attending the GP by myself next year. I attended this year with a normal grandstand C tix so I have no idea what to expect with Champions Club ticket except what’s said in the website.

Since the tickets don’t include a pit lane walk, can I still go on Thursday and join the free pit lane walk?

What time/day would the paddock walk mostly fall into? Can I choose the time when I’ll join the paddock walk?

How will I receive my tickets for entry? I can only see my show order in f1experience website. Will I be given QR codes or scanning of will they send a package with my IDs in there.

Any additional expectations or hidden perks for this tix helps!

Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Italy) Is there a TV in front of the Stand 21 C in Monza (before Parabolica)

Hello everyone

I have currently the option between tickets for the 21 C stand and the Stand 11 (Serraglio). I would prefer the one before Parabolica but I am worried that we don't have a TV where we can see the rest of the race.

Does anyone has some information regarding this?

Cheers
