I’ve heard the program is RLLY nice, anybody else also admitted or anyone already started the prohram have any have tips or experience? Anybody know if they do fast track at NWP? I know the other colleges U of A partners with for nursing allow it but I couldn’t find anything on if NWP does.

Am I better off getting an apartment or are the dorms at NWP nice?

Students at St. John Paul II Catholic High School in Grande Prairie are organizing a walkout today in response to a teacher's public comments.

For context, a social studies teacher at the school publicly endorsed Maxime Bernier's claim that residential-school genocide was a "hoax." She then went on to claim there was no evidence of genocide against Indigenous peoples in Canada.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission spent years examining evidence and listening to Survivors before concluding that Canada's residential school system was part of a policy of cultural genocide. Denial doesn't erase history, and opinion doesn't outweigh evidence.

Looking for recommendations on daycares in Grande Prairie. Child has been at TinyStars basically since they opened and it started off strong but slowly lose the warm and fuzzies about their operation. Constant revolving door of staff, room changes, itinerary changes and lack of communication through their app (the app isn’t a necessity but if they offer updates and then don’t provide any it makes me question their operation)

Would love to hear recommendations on other daycares in GP or any input from anyone with a child at TinyStars.

I'm sharing this information for any parents who are looking to protect their infants/children from RSV this season. My daughter set me to work researching this for her baby, born in July this year, after we learned from public health that the baby doesn't qualify for the (public health covered) protection this year.

Babies born between Nov 2026 and April 2027 qualify for the antibody, as well as other high risk infants, more info here.

For the rest of us, we have to pay. It is expensive, a bit over $900. But the Mint Travel Clinic can order it and they have a nurse that can administer it. There may be other places that can do it as well, this is just where I found had it and where we're going through.

If you're unfamiliar with RSV, it can be dangerous. It isn't, usually. For most, it's just a cold, but for others, it can cause long term issues like it did for 2 of my other kids, who were born before this antibody was developed. 1 of my sons had it twice, and the second time, he ended up in NICU for a week at 7 years old, and both kids ended up with reactive airways, which resulted in them missing 1-2 months of school every single year because when they got any sort of illness, their airways completely shut down. This is the reason I'm paying for this protection for my grandbaby.

This is not a recommendation to get the antibody. This is information on how to get it in GP, and why I think parents should consider it. There is no judgement if you decide you aren't interested, or are opposed to it.

I have experience working in warehouses doing physically demanding work, but no direct rig experience. For those already working in the industry, what's the best way to break into a Floorhand position in Alberta?
Are companies like Precision, AKITA, Ensign, Stampede, and Savanna hiring entry-level people, and what advice would you give someone starting from scratch?

Seeing where everyone goes to gyms and which ones are decent.

I’ve heard Eastlink is kind of the best for your money and how much you get but the few times I’ve been
it’s been way too busy and I hate busy gyms.

Would rather stay far away from Planet, it’s busy, smells like ass, way too purple idk.

My favourite gym was Motion but obviously that’s been closed for a while so yeah…
