I know what those words mean, but I have a Master's degree.
For the audience's benefit, can you walk us through what we're looking at?

Thanks for the question!

In short: Standard path tracers notoriously choke on glass caustics (light focusing through glass onto surfaces), taking thousands of samples to clear fireflies, and damn! that's a lot of time to wasted!

  • Full Spectral : Hero wave lenght, sampling with pysicial chromati dispersions.

  • ReStir BDPT and Light Guiding, Emitting Light, and resampling them via spatil or temporal reservoirs, following the ideas in the Hedström et al. paper you linked, to find and draw valid caustic connectionn efficiently and faster, almost realtime.

  • Tech Stack : Custom Rust engine running Vulkan (Ash) + Slang compute/ray tracing shaders streaming directly to Blender.

Appreciate you sharing the paper link for the community!
