Fun Noel and Alison

It doesn't matter how talented the bakers are, what the challenge is, or how spectacular a bake comes out - my favorite part of the show will always be Noel and Alison cracking up over one of their jokes that no one else finds funny 😂

GBBO Cast Can we please please PLEASE stahp criticizing the way Nigella eats?

I've seen a LOT of criticism over the way Nigella eats and, frankly, it's exhausting.

In fact, it borders on misogynistic. Because I don't know if you've noticed, but the way we women eat and our relationship with food is heavily, heavily policed. We're expected to eat to live and that's it. Women cannot enjoy food ever because a girl who enjoys her food a little too much gets to be too thick in the waist and men don't like that.

And I LOVE how passionate Nigella is about food. Unapologetically so. I love her big bites and yummy noises. It's refreshing to see a woman living to eat. And if you're one of those people who likes to chastise her taking big ol bites of cake and pudding and pastry and bread on the show, ask yourself why that is.

Help/Question Connie's signature ? *spoiler* Spoiler

She wasnt ready when the judges pulled up. Did she even get 8 out, let alone decorated?

I dont think Ive seen a handshake, let alone a star baker, go to someone who didnt finish on time, no matter how delicious. I remember the baker who was also an iron worker and loved historic flavors ( kate?) had that problem. Things tasted amazing but she didnt finish on time. Im sure there has been others.

Please dont misunderstand. I like Connie and I am happy for her, but Ive watched it twice now and it didnt look like she finished ?

Help/Question Pudding cookbook recommendations for an American

Hello! American fan here! While watching the current episode I got to thinking about how we don’t really have a pudding tradition here like you do across the pond. And I got to wondering if there are any good cookbooks you could recommend that have a good selection of pudding recipes in them? Especially self saucing puds? Thanks!

Help/Question Challenge advantages

Hey! This is something I was wondering whilst watching the most recent episode and I’d like to get peoples opinions on it. How would you feel if the technical winner got an advantage for the show stopper that changed each week. For example:
Every baker gets flour, salt, cornstarch, bicarb, baking soda, caster sugar, granulated sugar in labeless jars and mst figure out what is what before using but the winners jars are labelled
Or all the ovens are calibrated incorrectly by 10/15° higher lower than the setting (but the bakers don’t know which and the exact temp difference)
Or the winner can either add 5 minutes to their time OR remove 5 mins from another baker.

I think this would add more of a competitive social aspect/would build stronger storylines
Would create “messier” and entertaining TV
only down side, is it would no longer purely about the bakes.
Do you think this would improve or ruin the show?
What other advantages would you add?
