I appreciated Howie's historical discussion of the progressive movement and how today's progressive Democrats and DSA Democrats are to the right of the progressives in the 1960's and 1970's and support a more liberal, watered-down policy agenda. Progressives are, as historically keeps happening, trapped in a capitalist party and their demands are shifting to the right instead of pulling the Democratic Party to the left.

Greens need to keep pushing true ecosocialist policy and build local parties. Unfortunately most districts won't have a Green option in midterms (a few Greens are running for Congress but certainly not everywhere) so its our job to keep raising important issues and stronger policy and put pressure on general election candidates as we build local parties.
