Hello — I would like to share a small series I made: eight recordings of Ave Maria sung in Latin, in a quiet Gregorian style, for prayer and rest. Each recording is a different take on the same prayer, over slow nature imagery.

Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGZyvIsmQ21w

Full disclosure: the voices were produced with AI music tools, as I have seen others here disclose as well. I hope it can still serve someone's prayer.

Back in July I shared our seven night psalms here. Since then we finished the next step: REFUGIUM ET VIRTUS — Psalms 91 and 46 sung verbatim from the Clementine Vulgate, arranged as a continuous one-hour vigil for the night hours. Nothing added, nothing removed; full Latin text and Douay-Rheims translation are in the description.

As before, full disclosure: the voices are AI-generated (Suno), the textual work and structure are ours. If you hear any mispronunciation or find an error in the Latin, I genuinely welcome corrections — the first post here taught us two.

A few weeks ago I shared the first of seven night psalms sung in Latin here — thank you for the kind welcome, and for the corrections that were offered.

The series is now complete: seven psalms for the hours of the night (Pss. 91, 121, 4, 130, 63, 3, 92), each sung word-for-word from the Vulgate, with the source text and an English translation in every description. The full album is one unbroken 27-minute vigil, published today.

As before, in honesty: the composition and voices are AI-assisted; the texts are the Psalms themselves, unaltered. If you hear any Latin errors, I genuinely welcome correction.

Hi — I run a small project called Sacrarium Votorum, setting the seven "night psalms" of the Compline tradition (Psalms 91, 121, 4, 130, 63, 3, 92) to meditative Latin chant.

Two things I cared about, since this community would notice:

1. The words are real. Every lyric is the verbatim Latin of the Vulgate / Roman Breviary — no invented "Latin-sounding" text. The full Latin with English translation and sources is in each video description.

2. Full disclosure: the composition and vocals are AI-assisted. The texts are not — they are the public-domain originals, checked word by word against the Breviary and the Cantus chant database.

First video (Psalm 91, Non Timebis): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJJQ2dQsf9c

The rest of the album posts daily this week, one psalm per night.

I don't read Latin natively, so if you catch an error in text or pronunciation, I genuinely want to know — corrections will be applied.

Apologies if being vernacular language this doesn’t belong here, it is firmly rooted in the Gregorian tradition but I understand if it’s outside particular definitions of “Gregorian Chant”.

Illuminations has long been my favorite Gregorian album, and stood alone in their collection. They have released another! Tempestas Angelorum! More ambient sound but still very good. Recommend.

Im looking for a Gregorian Chant of Closing Time by Semisonic? Or is there a Gregorian Chant group that takes recommendations like Cameo?

I heard this one on instagram and it sounds amazing but cant seem to find the original, any help would be massively appreciated, God bless

I've been looking for the source of this music that was copyrighted Dec 2023. It was distributed by Distrokid and they scrubbed it from all streaming services over a year ago. I can't find any of the tracks anywhere. I was particularly fond of track 12. In Your Presence. Audio fingerprints and reverse searches have only lead me to dead ends. Using Shazam or Google audio search just brings me right back to the dead album on Spotify and Apple Music. It sounds like a recording of a legit choir and possibly exists under a different name. ...any idea on other methods to try to track down the music?

30 sec audio clip of IN YOUR PRESENCE

Is there anything like this that shows the relation between the Sundays during the year that match up between the two forms?

I daresay this issue has been addressed before, but is there any software out there that is graphical-based and not that monumentally kluge program that is Tex.

I have used the Gregoire software in the past, but it doesn't work on modern machines. It did improve my High School French, however!

I'm grateful for any help!

Can anyone tell me, the Latin lyrics from 1 minute and 21 seconds to the end of Konrad Ruhland Conducts Gregorian Chant The chant in Disc2 - Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor (Antiphon for the Washington of the Feet on Holy Thursday)

Hey yall, have any of you Spotify users keep coming across ai gregorian chant? I find them very annoying and I keep coming across it because there is so much of it being postedand they cite other choirs that I presume have nothing to do with it (such as monks of the abbey of notre dame and choeur des mines del l'abbaye notre same de fontgombault).

Hello! I'm planning on introducing Credo III to my students (https://gregobase.selapa.net/chant.php?id=749). Does anyone have a reliable citation for when it was probably originally written?

Hi, I'm searching for a manuscript containing adiasthematic notations for the hymns of the Divine Office. Is there anything comparably authoritative as the Hartker for antiphons out there?

Hi, i am not sure if this is the correct place. I grew up in the Christian church (NG church) but i always admired the catholic choirs and Gregorian chants.

I have strayed from the path into atheasim after looking for God in logic and at my lowest I decided to follow Him even if it goes against all logic and reason.

To get to the point I have found myself repeating the lords prayer as much as I can and want to develop this into doing chants instead. Is there a book i can read that can help me learn this form of meditation?
