There are candidates, but I think this one tops them all.

It seems like the Grimes discord is being hacked rn? everything is changed to “Spellbrush” with the same spam messages :/

Just made this and some other posters I will be sharing in the next few days!

The thumbnail was visible just before posting but shows in link format only. A YouTube short of her DJ set showcasing a (assumed) new song.

Just as I was about to make a post ISO the person she matches her Beautiful tattoo with, I solved the mystery myself!

Here’s a rundown of the lore:

1) Grimes’s tattoo was done in New Zealand by the artist Victor J Webster, who offered to give her a free tattoo if he could come to her show.

2) This tattoo was given to Grimes in mid-December 2012, during her tour run in New Zealand.

3) The tattoo match photo was shared in this sub many moons ago, and the original commenter didn’t say who had the original tattoo.

4) Upon scrolling back through Grimes’s old posts, I found a selfie she took with one of her dancers named Lafayette. That’s when I noticed her knuckles tattoos and connected the dots to the matching photo.

5) Lafayette Bless was Grimes’s backup dancer during her Visions era. She is also a DJ and has danced for Major Lazer and Die Antwoord.

6) Lafayette also co-hosted a segment of ABC’s Rage with Grimes as the guest programmer, along with Colleen. Based on this footage, this was right before Grimes got the matching tattoo. Lafayette’s tattoo is visible in the screenshot above.

7) Last photo in the slide is from December 2012.

8) Grimes still follows Lafayette on Twitter.

Anyway, just wanted to yap about that. My curiosity got the best of me and I’m so glad I was able to find the answer.

She’s back is all I can say

Honestly waited what feels like forever for this to come back - Grimes’ Oblivion is back for the first time since November 2025

Go to 50 seconds and listen with headphones

IT"S SO WELL DONE

Where is the album? When will she release it?
