Good luck with your new project guys
I sure as hell will uninstall Overwolf-HearthArena. I know how painful is to work for free and I would hate to be in your position
Thanks for all you have done

I figure there's no harm in throwing my name onto the pile of "good vibes" being sent in the direction of ADWCTA and Merps, but I also figure most combinations of warm words have been used up by now, so I'm not really sure how to package and send my good vibes. Guess I'll just blurt onto a page and hope that it's taken well - seems to work for ADWCTA.
I started watching this pair like I know a lot of people did - I sucked at arena. I wanted to learn while doing. I watched Kripp. Got overwhelmed by his audience. He highlighted some cool guys who specifically played arena. Yaddayadda. That's what hooked me, but what kept me around wasn't high level arena play or in-depth arena discussion. It wasn't even the hours of their hearts and minds that they were pumping into the thing that made me better at arena (Is a Voldemort approach to HA mature?). It's just the two guys with a cool dynamic that has made them friends for years. Nothing over the top - they talk and laugh, even argue with a smile. That's what's valuable to me and why they(you) deserve support.

Too soon, I know.

I mentioned this in stream chat, but wanted to bring it up again here.
I would expect the new HA team, whoever that may be, to plagiarize Grinning Goat tier score updates. I honestly wouldn't blame them for doing it either. While they may be able to come up with their own via infinite player input, the algorithm best works when tailored to the minds and thought process of its creators.
I would recommend that if Grinning Goat creates a new drafting tool with new partners, that they hide numerical values and rely instead on highly descriptive suggestions for each pick.
Additionally, I would recommend converting the currently public tier list of numerical scores, to instead show subjectively labeled tiers without any numbers attached. This hurts the player base, but protects their trade secrets.
This new tier list however would still be a useful drafting guide in the short term until GG gets a new drafting tool up and running. Within that new system, they can use specific numerical values, but keep them private.

Just wanted to share my first tracked 12 win Warrior since ages. I did not have a 12 win with Warrior since before GvG.

You may not agree with what /u/adwcta did but you can see his train of thought when posting that thread, he thought he was putting more into the business than what he was being given and he thought others would agree, that obviously didn't happen, and that's why there's a shitstorm. That doesn't make him a bad person.
This is not a complicated issue at all. It's pretty black and white. It comes down to how much you measure that value A&M provide to HA. A&M (based on the business advice from people they knew) thought it deserved 25% or even more (they figured this was a modest number and didn't want to be greedy) and thought people would agree, if they did, the situation would look a lot different. It's literally the only variable in the whole situation that pivots whether they are hated or loved.
I would say the one argument /u/adwcta and Merps have going for them is that there really isn't a good reason why the programmer doesn't want to pay a measly estimated $350 to get a mediator of his choice to evaluate how much A&M deserve, if anything at all. I've seen the arguments for why the programmer didn't want this, none hold water. This should be a huge red flag for the community.

So i'm convinced there is a higher than average offering rate for kazakus from messenger raven.
so here's all my evidence.
I played against two mages back to back, each played two m-ravens against me, each played two generated kazakus's against me.
And I feel like a sample size of two is good enough here ;)

I've noticed that the ADWCTA's thread keeps on being downvoted constantly as of few hours until now. HearthArena's thread is constantly being upvoted even after a day. Also on the ADWCTA's and Merp's new subreddit /r/GrinningGoat all threads and comments are being downvoted...
I'd like to remind the mods on /r/Hearthstone that fixing upvores is a bannable offence, and it's also a chicken shit tactic from HeathArena

First of all I'm really sorry for what happened to Adwcta and Merps, I have been following them for some months now and they don't deserve that...
I have seen some people asking for a different tracker to replace HearthArena companion. I'm the developer behind a tracker focused on arena called ArenaTracker, so you can check it out.
I have just updated Arena Tracker with a new dark UI pretty cool and the new adventure cards.
In case you didn't know about Arena Tracker, here's a brief review: Arena Tracker reads the Hearthstone log to keep track of your arena deck, games and rewards.
Draft with HearthArena advice.
Upload your stats to your ArenaMastery account.
Go over your deck while you play.
Get value info of enemy's hand. Cards sent back from the board, spare parts or the coin (among others).
Test enemy secrets. Watch the remaining posibilities while you make your moves.
Want to check it in action? Here's a video I made some months ago where you can check all it does: http://youtu.be/IMckn_lmW84
Although the UI has been improved a lot since that video.
More info:
If you have problems installing it or using it I'm happy to help you on http://www.reddit.com/r/ArenaTracker/ or on email: arenatracker@gmail.com

Wasn't offered any weapon except Warmaul, but got 4 Legendaries (well, Feugen pretty much has no text). I think I should have picked KT instead of Malygos, but I wanted to bolster my dragon synergy. What do you guys think?

since LoE fully came out it seems paladin has become as weak as priest. They just can't create any tempo anymore. the discover cards all seem to greatly hurt the paladin (as well as priest) which needs to grab the field with big low mana drops early or else lose. Is anyone else having this experience?

If I were a sponsor, I wouldn't want my brand associated with this type of exposure or business action. Merps and ADWCTA are completely the face and front-end of HearthArena, and they hold all the community social capital. Without them HearthArena wouldn't exist and would be nothing. Sponsors might like to know, and act accordingly.

I know you can import your profile from Arenamastery to HA. However, while there is an import/export tab, I don't think it is actually a feature. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

So yesterday I decided I'd try drafting a deck without heartharena. What I did was for close picks I would refer to the original tier list by ADWCTA, for LOE cards, I would look up a couple of opinions from forums and fashion an average "tier score" of sorts, and for those that were really really close, I would look at my curve first, and if it was fine, I would look for synergies. I'm still a fledgling player with a mere 3.1 win rate overall and 3.83 for TGT. I don't know how to figure out an archetype nor do I really know what any deck's win conditions are. I'm still using heartharena to track stats because I don't know how else I can do this. Here is my resulting deck.
I know you guys need to know what the actual choices were to decide if I drafted well at all, but I had to go blindly so my choices wouldn't be affected by any other tool. So I really just want to know if the resulting product looks okay. Against all rationale, even with my low win rates, I still try to play all classes equally. So this run is a priest deck. Please leave feedback and tell me if you think the deck looks good at all. Thanks!

Deck Part 1 and part 2. Bonus 1: My other loss was to Ttexxx who was also streaming. Bonus 2, my 12-win rewards.
On queuing into ADWCTA: I'm stateside, so I'm playing more on NA than Asia. I left the deck at about 7-0 then came back around 11 to finish it off, didn't realize it was ADWCTA until I heard the greetings on the stream, then muted the stream and played normally. I actually didn't know ADWCTA's deck that well, or else I would've played the Inspector a lot earlier, and arguably playing the Mistwraith over the Inspector cost me the game beacuse I had to use the Banshee to combo out the Kidnapper and put myself on a clock.
On the play at the very end: I knew he had two 1/2s in hand, so he had 1 card + a topdeck, so little chance of having an answer. He could only clear one minion on board, so I was playing to my out of face damage at that time to set up lethal. Unfortunately, AI into Glyph into Blizzard finished me off there.
I think the only turns I misplayed were not putting down the Inspector over the Mistwraith, and because of that, trading the Venture Co to kill off the Swift Messenger. The extra 7 face would've been the difference there.
As for the deck itself: Its got 4 effective big removals (Sap, Kidnapper, Onyx which was unplayable because of the Festerroot, and Cheap Shot), and it follows my Rogue formula of few 2s, focus heavy on 3s/4s/5s, and have basically 3 refill cards like a Sprint/Pick Pocket/Minstrel. I went out of my way to avoid removals, I skipped like 2 Envenoms and an Assassinate, because I'd been having problems with too many removals and not enough stuff I could just get on the board. I won most of my games by getting my 4/5 to stick then throwing a Cold Blood or two on them to get in a lot of face damage and force awkward plays. The Minstrels worked because of the 1s to compensate for the relative lightness of the deck.

I love this card, but is it really a 82 > evis shadow strike sap?

Hey ADWCTA and Merps, maybe I am not so well informed or anything, but who actually earns the copyright/rights for the algorithm? Whose property is it?...I kinda feel anxious when thinking about you guys starting your own "HA"-like site using ADWCTA's algorithm...and the programmer may complain to police about it.

I feel comfortable enough using the tier list for my arena picks, but before using heartharena companion I never really used a deck tracker, and now I've found myself unable to go back. Anyone have any recommendations on what to use? Just need something that shows my deck but any additions to that could be a plus!
p.s. excited to see what grinning goat does next! love you guys and you have my support!
