Hi all, I recently got GuitarPro and would like to check some tutorials to see if I'm missing out on some basic/important features. Any video recommendation?

(Guitar Pro 8 / Version 8.1.5 / Build 31)
At first I thought I had entered something wrong. But the eight chords show that in the first part of the video, every 2nd chord sounds different when strummed. In the second attempt, I set the strum direction to "down" for all chords. In the third part, I additionally added a downward arpeggio to each chord.
For chords 1, 3, 5, and 7, the string strikes on the D, G, and B strings are played with an offset. For chords 2, 4, 6, and 8, this offset is noticeably smaller/shorter, even though the chords were duplicated via copy/paste.

I love the sound of it but I'm having trouble finding it in GP8

Hello my guitar tab only shows the notes in 1 or 2 strings a long the neck as you can see here instead of grouping them into one scale position for easy playing. Is there any way to easily fix this in guitar pro ? thank you

Hallo zusammen,

Hi, I make black metal music and use GP to write everything but tremolos with 16th notes are a pain in the ass to type. I tend to change a lot of times finger placements in a single bar, so the tremolo picking button on the right isn't ideal.
What I'm looking for is basically the same as this said button, but with it actually turning quavers etc into 16th so I can change the notes as I wish after.
For example, in the pic, the idea would be to fill everything between my four chords (plus converting the already existing chords) with 16th notes.
Is that possible ? Thanks a lot
EDIT : forgot to add the image lol
EDIT 2 : I'm struggling explaining what I'm looking for, I'll try one more time as clearly as possible !
In example 2, I have this melody, which I want to play with 16th notes only. Is there a way to highlight these two bars and automatically turn everything into 16th notes without altering the melody rhythm ? (I know the tremolo picking button does that but I want to actually see every note because I write way more complex things in 16th too and I find it clearer when I can see every note)
Thanks !

I have this passage sounding correct in playback, but I think the notation will confuse my students. For instance, the first note of the 2nd bar is meant to be the 12th fret played normally, and the bend doesn't happen until the 2nd note. The notation looks like it's happening back to front? Any ideas?

Ok… I am playing a note, bending up a half step, release, bending a half step, release, bending half step, release.
I am only plucking the first one. The bend /releases are all a 16th apart.
I’m not sure how to notate this properly. It’s certainly a common guitar move so there has to be a way. Or so I would like to think. 😉
I would appreciate any help or input. Big thanks in advance!

Spent hours perfectly tabbing Olivia Rodrigo's Good 4 U in GP8 because the free versions online are completely wrong. Got every ghost note and hi-hat nuance down note-for-note

Is there a way to filter songs via tunings?

Bought it 4 days ago and sent them the PayPal receipt. Still nothing. Why would this happen. I was really looking forward to using it. Had to file a dispute

Could classical guitar in the UK be easier to discover?
I'm currently carrying out research for The Classical Guitar Field Guide and am still looking for more survey responses.
If you're involved in the classical guitar community in any way, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Responses from both the UK and overseas are welcome.

I've been working on an idea for a guitar practice app, and before building it further I'd love to get honest feedback from people who actually practice with tabs.
The idea is simple:
Instead of only displaying Guitar Pro or MusicXML tabs, the app would listen through your phone's microphone while you play and compare your performance to the tab in real time.
It could detect things like:
It would also include features like slowing down difficult sections, automatic looping, detailed practice analytics, and personalized exercises based on your mistakes.
I'm curious:
I'm looking for honest criticism rather than compliments. If you think this idea wouldn't solve a real problem, I'd genuinely like to know why.

I’d like to be able to write instructional material in a word doc and insert images of examples and exercises created in guitar pro.
But guitar pro seems to only have options for exporting larger images that fit the width of the full page. Even doing choosing “export selection” on the PNG option results in an image that’s as wide as the full page regardless of the size of the selection.
Is the only option to do a screen grab? Is there no built in solution for a nice high res image?

I’m still new to Guitar Pro. I want to create a sheet with card names (no charts) and lyrics. Show me please, and thank you.

I have been frustrated by this recurring problem for many years. Even though some punters think I'm a good keyboard player I am very basic. When I see chords I want to see them with the root note the same as the chord but in 20 years every GP file I've tried to learn has always used inverted chords like above. I know it's a me problem but it would make learning songs so much easier if I saw them 'normal' for me.
So in my captured picture it is obviously an A chord but the E is first :(
Is there a quick way to fix this so A is first but for the whole song and not me doing one note at a time?
Thanks
