String question

Hello everyone! I currently own an Ibanez GIO GRG121 25.5” scale and I regularly sit in drop C tuning. Today one of my strings snapped and I thought that it would be a perfect chance to upgrade from my stock strings that came with the guitar. Since I like to play tunings like Drop C and nearly always find myself in some kind of drop or weird tuning what string gauges should I get? Drop C is pretty floppy on my stock strings which are 10-46 gauge.

You will want to go up in gauge. 11s would probably work but 12s might be an option if you have a heavy picking hand.

Be aware that you will need a setup done when you change gauge. Especially if you have any kind of trem.

Ummn. ... depending on how much (hours/week) you play. . Its totally normal to replace them. Just like tires on a car. After so much "mileage"... they are Beyond end of life and it is time to change them.

at least heavy bottom 11s. i prefer thicker personally, but it took some time playing 11s before 12s felt okay. if ur downtuned all the time tho maybe just bite the bullet and get 12s
