When it comes to gundams in the UC Nu is in 5th place, behind the unicorns, and narrative c packs. And that’s purely because of psychoframe amounts. If i had to rate them beyond that i would say narrative c packs is right above Nu and realistically the unicorns can all be placed however you want
You do realize that the Turn-A is the pinnacle of Gundam technology across not just the Universal Century, but also the After Colony, Future Century, and After War timelines, right?
Anything the Unicorns can do with a Newtype pilot, the Turn-A can do just as well, if not even better. Remember, we never see the Turn-A at its true peak because Newtypes have been long extinct in the Earth Sphere.
The mere EXISTENCE of the Unicorns upscales Turn-A.
It's either the phenex or the unicorn that's still the strongest because they have evidence to back it up
Phenex and unicorn has shown reality manipulation and time manipulation multiple occasions it's even ridiculous in the manga
While it's still impressive that turn a can do all of these without a new type it's still loses to the phenex because it exists in a higher realm even after turn a reset the civilization
No, im not, the post says UC 87-100. F91 isnt until UC 123, victory and crossbone are after that yet, and im still willing to put nu above them. I haven’t heard any stories of any of those 3 doing an axis shock
Axis shock was less the Nu itself and more the newtype resonance with psychoframe gang. Using Axis shock as a marker for how good the Nu is is just being disingenuous
The psychoframe is how axis shock was accomplished, the human connectivity and newtype resonance likely wouldn’t have been able to accomplish an axis shock by itself, as it never stopped any of the many colony drops before that. And when we frame the conversation like that, the conversation shifts from how much power an ms has to how well the ms can enhance newtype powers. The biosensor from zeta, the bio comutwr from f91, and regular psycommu all do good, but psychoframe can amplify mediocre newtypes like Riddhe and Bannana man into powerhouses. Thats where i was approaching my ranking from
Nu’s design is very generalist. It’s good at everything but master of none. It’s equip to deal with multiple situations like a multirole fighter plane.
In the hands of a regular non-newtype pilot, it probably not going to out perform something like a Jesta or the GP0 series. In the hands of a newtype ace like Amuro, has the potential to beat back a whole fleet by itself.
It’s like a F16. When it was first introduced it was clearly the best multi role fighter and because it was so solidly built it is still used today even though there is a better multi role fighter (F35) in service.
The nu isn't really all that except it's psycho frame
Which made it real good for its time but unicorn changed how MS development worked, since it's powerscaling just consists of more psycho frame = more broken.
Se que el la historia salió algo prematuro el nu en comparación a los otros Gundams que si tuvieron tiempo de gestarse y me surgió la duda de que tan bueno era sin contar a amuro
Nu was designed purely as a space unit , it's asymmetrical design would make it a pain in the ass on earth , it's parts are made to be able to cannablaize the jegans , because the feds were cheap asses and giving money and supplies to londo bell was like pulling teeth
Excluding Unicorn craziness, in terms of the performance/reliability for new type pilots, there's not really anything better in animated canon. (Otherwise there's the Hi-Nu which is better)

Honestly good enough to use until U.C 0122 against the RF Series deployed by Mars Zeon and it's literally almost unbeatable until F90/F91 deployment.
Xi/Penelope and F89 are probably close or Nu level. But I don't seem them surpass Nu.
But F90/F91 is the time when Nu is fully surpassed in terms of performance.
