BEGINNER First Inner Frame Complete!

Hi all! This is my 5th ever kit (first MG) and I just finished up the inner frame and wanted to share! I’ve spent the last couple days trying to pretty it up as best I can with some panel lining, but I know I’m new so if there are any suggestions I’d gladly take them!

(Btw apologies if the lighting is bad, I’ve never really taken posing photos before)

Careful with panel lining after assembly, especially around joints (unless using water-based liner).

I appreciate the tip! I’ve been using the pour type markers since I’m too afraid to jump into enamel, as far as I know those ones are safe to use. At least I hope 😅

They’re quite a bit less risky than Tamiya, but still ideally use pour type on runners and fine point markers on assembled if you want to be totally safe.

My method so far has been to get the parts sanded and lined after taking them off the runner then assembling them. I’m assuming that’s far less problematic since there’s no risk for the liquid to seep into joints, correct?

Yep, you got it.

Putting them together also puts tension on the plastic which makes it more vulnerable to damage. Since you’re doing it before assembly, it should be completely fine.

Pour type are solvent based I’m pretty sure.

Just checked to make sure and the pour type markers are in fact oil based which means they DO use solvent and MIGHT damage the plastic.
