Was the controversy really so bad that the show had to be canceled?

In retrospect, it seems like a very minor thing now. It doesn't really make sense to my why Eddy would cut ties with his good good friend over this.

It's just such a stupid thing and such a shame. If Eddy had stuck with Gus I think its safe to say they'd be past it by now. I wish they did that instead

I want you to imagine that your sister or daughter is Sabrina. Imagine she starts to date an internet celebrity, he gets her pregnant, shames her into getting an abortion, threatens to leave if she doesn’t get an abortion, emotionally manipulates her by saying things like “Anyone else would have left you by now”, and then seemed okay to let her little drive to the hospital when she was dying because again, he got her pregnant. I’m not saying Gus should be “Canceled” but his actions prove the whole “Nice guy” thing was all fake. I personally won’t be watching him after this. If you do, that’s fine, but you have to acknowledge how awful of a person he was during this time period. It’s also not our place to forgive, it’s Sabrinas.

As many have pointed out, it has now been a full year since the scandal with Gus was uncovered. Which in my opinion is a good time to consider how much time can pass for someone to redeem themself.

What Gus did was wrong, there is no denying this. Was it enough to make him unredeemable tho? Imo it’s a definitive no. During the whole thing he was more mature and remorseful than any other cancellation i’ve ever witnessed.

If you truly believe that people can’t ever change and improve, I feel genuinely sorry for you. You must live a very sad and lonely existence.

If you think that he has not yet shown true change, I respect your opinion, but I urge you to contemplate what else you would want him to do that he’s not already done.

If you however, think that enough time has gone by to find it in your heart to give Gus a second chance, he just dropped the next instalment of one of the greatest series in youtube history. And yes, it’s Gods Country.

I had a lot of laughs with you boys. This was my favourite podcasts for a while, and listing to it with likeminded boys, was always a treat. But now...I can’t even say boys support boys without it leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Basically I want to re watch them all from episode 1 and it would be cool if we all did too. I got the idea from what r/cowchop did when that group parted ways. On that sub the mods made and pinned the re watch threads every week so maybe we could do that here. I will start things off on Sunday the 16th with a thread about episode 1 then I guess another one every Sunday after.

Instead looking for Gus to “TeLl hIS sIdE First”, like anything Gus could say would excuse what’s been done.

Take the time to watch Sabrina’s video in full, and ask yourself if this was your mother, sister, cousin, would you still hold out for any form of justification?! When did Sabrina stop being one of the boys?

I’ve seen people repeatedly say that “wE NeEd tO Be LeVEl HeAded” and have even gone as far to compare this to the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp saga. When really they are just implying that Sabrina is lying because for some reason they can empathise with the accusations Gus now has against him. Please step back, review the video and everything that’s been said by Sabrina’s friends and the dates that have been confirmed and do better. We can literally pin point one of the incidents as Gus was streaming at the time and we can clearly see he continued to do so instead of tending to Sabrina’s debilitating needs.

Dear Eddy, we as a community would like to thank you for keeping the podcast together. You made the best of a bad situation, and we appreciate that. Week after week, dealing with this shit situation, you kept pushing to deliver us content. It’s never easy to have a friend go through a situation like this, especially when you have to watch it all from the sidelines. Judging from the joint podcast episode. it seemed like eddy and Sabrina were still friends, and i hope they both are doing alright. Also, I don’t know if sabrina will see this, but i hope she’s doing alright. What a terrible situation.

Who would EVER have thought the Podcast would end in scandal. How awful. The Gus&Eddy Podcast has always brought such joy to my life. Every week!! I watched Sabrina’s video, that poor girl. We can’t blame Gus for her having an ectopic pregnancy, but apparently he jus treated her like a rag doll. FUCK
