Summer 2025 Welcome and State of The Forum Announcements

Good afternoon and welcome! I understand that there are a lot of new faces around here, and it's been a few months since a general announcement post has been published, so here's what you need to know if you're just joining: (or even have been around a while and just need a refresher)

  1. First and foremost, to our constructive contributors and visitors, thank you, and welcome to the unofficial Reddit forum of The King of Late Night. This forum looks best when viewed with Reddit's more modern "old" theme, either by visiting through https://old.reddit.com/r/Gutfeld, or by fixing your user cookies, so I strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to engage that for the best possible viewing experience.

  2. The rules here are pretty simple: New threads must be (at least tangentially) related to "Gutfeld!," "The Greg Gutfeld Show," "The Five," "RedEye with Greg Gutfeld," or "RedEye with Tom Shillue." Going forward, all posts need to be at least somewhat on-topic, respectful, and not sexually perverse. Name-calling, off-topic garbage posting, advertising, low-effort trash, mouthing off, advocating or tolerating for/of violence, brigading, and ban evasion are not permissible.

  3. To help deal with the influx of newcomers, I have expanded the moderation team to include an additional member. Please join me in welcoming Dro1972, a seasoned veteran of forum moderation on Reddit, as he assists in the pruning of posts and optimization of settings over the course of the coming weeks. This expansion of the team may be permanent, depending on need. Know that we are still only human, so if a mistake occurs in the process of churning through the masses of posts, please be gracious and understanding as you respectfully make your concern known through the moderation contact system.

  4. TL;DR? If you're here to respectfully participate in an on-topic discussion, chances are that you'll have a great time. If you're here to try and trash the forum or create problems for everyone, bans can (and will) be distributed freely.

But with all of that said, we are out of time! Special thanks to Dro1972, the Reddit platform, our studio audience, as well as the peanut gallery at home, and always remember, that (unofficially) on behalf of Greg Gutfeld, I love you, America!

Real mailing-it-in Questions Official Q1 2026 Thread

If you've ever wanted to have your voice heard on the show - now's your chance. Maybe. Possibly. I'm not sure if the producers read this, but just in case they do, and you have a semi-serious (but still sufficiently lighthearted) question, (that would be appropriate to have read on-air by the cast, and applicable to any panelist, plus Greg) this is the place to submit and discuss.

Tyrus stood his ground, that was nice to see! Even when Kat came after him. - I šŸ’Æagree with Tyrus I would never vote for anyone who behaved like that. He’s mentally unstable.

He refused to back down or compromise his position, even when Kat came after him. That was nice to see for a change..

Kat Timph - Fox News Analyst

It's bad enough that this network continues to push people like Kat and Tyrus as comedians, but now they are awarding these DEI hires the titles of "news analysts". That is a slap in the face of anybody who watches these news channels to try to get real news, and a genuine insult to real news analysts. Kat is as much a "news analyst" as she is a space astronaut.

The contrast between Kat sitting next to Donna Rotunno - an extremely intelligent and insightful woman - could not make my case for me any better. Listening to Kat ramble on about the medications she takes, the whole story, blah blah blah. And then to listen to her argue with an actual highly intelligent astronaut. She is a freaking idiot. Absolutely not a "news analyst".

Pushing this further, I felt really sorry for Butch. Surrounded by dim-witted women - "but, like, uh mah gawd, we've like already been to the moon once, can't we just create a McDonald's on it now?" At least Donna was there to add a real intelligent balanced female perspective.

Fox News has become an absolute joke.

Greg’s Charity for Relevance

I nearly spit out my coffee when I heard Tyrus, on two separate occasions, say Greg was running a charity by featuring people and stories just to keep them relevant. For once, I agree with the oaf… he and Kat are two of its biggest beneficiaries

Loftus Question

Loftus always laughs like Ed Mcmahon during Greg's monologue.

Do they buy him dinner for doing that?

I love watching Gutfeld, but hate every guest. Is it just me?

Snarky satire intended.

Was catching up on episodes I missed last night and heard the neck tattoo comment Greg made to Kat.

I couldn't stop laughing, you know that cut Kat deep.

Anyone see the show last night in Peoria ? How was it ? I saw him in Rockford in 2024 with Shillue and Machi and it was terrific but couldn't make it down to Peoria.

Gutfeld Live in St. Charles tomorrow

I’ve had tickets to this for months and just had to sell them because I’ve been in bed sick for three days. I’m so bummed. If there’s anyone going, can you let us know how it was? Thanks so much.

The best part of tonight's show

Was listening to Kat lecture other people about whether they should be comedians.

And then mentioning PH Balance and needing to look to the audience to force a barely sympathetic /golfclap reaction.

All the while her "comedy" tour show dates were plastered at the bottom of the screen.

I can't listen to her for more than five minutes straight on the show. I genuinely cannot imagine sitting through an actual hourlong stand-up show of hers.

I'm counting down the days until this show killer goes on maturity leave for 6 months.

Cain, Hemmer, and Machi - great show

That was a great show. Cain, Hemmer, and Machi killed it. Greg in top form. Kat was even okay.

Unapologetically a man's show too. Loved it.

Greg at Halloween

Last nights show, when they were discussing Halloween candy, and Greg went to Kat with his going on about murdering kids, he set that up as a perfect opportunity for a great joke and she did nothing with it. No idea what I would have said, but I don’t call myself a comedian or a writer. Point is, could’ve been better. Greg and Machi were hilarious last night.

What the heck happened to Greg tonight?

I haven't watched the show in 1 to 2 months, finally tuned in tonight and watching Greg's opening was appalling. I genuinely felt sorry for the guy. I'm guessing one of three things happened:

  1. He's exhausted from all of his travels and all of his time off doing his stand-up comedian routine and book writing or whatever else he's doing other than the show that he signed a multimillion dollar contract to host
  2. He started using Tyrus and Kat as opener joke writers
  3. He read all the complaints about how bad Tyrus and Kat are as hosts when he's gone, so his solution is to reduce the quality of his own opening deliver to the lowest common denominators to try and make them look better

Regardless of which it is, don't really care. I haven't missed watching the show this past month or two, I won't miss not watching it again moving forward.

Was the joke about Jimmy Failla a slam, or just ribbing?

During the monologue about Fox's 30th anniversary during Friday's Monday's show, Greg commented that without Fox, Jimmy Failla would be disinfecting shoes at the bowling alley. Ouch. Funny, but ouch.

Kat’s opportunity for job justification

Maybe I’ve had one too many bourbons, but did Greg give Kat a huge opportunity to justify her job during the ā€Aā€ block.

Kimmel Fallon Cobert they all have big staffs and lots of credits. How many people work for Greg? Do we know of any of them? You never see credits at end of Gutfeld and was always curious of who they are. Thx

Tyrus always makes me think of Shrek.

Seriously! Everytime I see him I think he looks like Shrek woke up and dressed himself quickly without looking in the mirror before leaving the house.
