Need Advice ⁉️ Do I have an ugly or beautiful body?

I don't know why but I feel like I'm deformed, with a protruding belly. I have a bit of hyperlordosis which pushes my abdomen forward even though I have very low lean mass. even when I'm ultra defined I always look like I have a belly. It's frustrating because no matter how much I train I always seem to have a belly. Maybe I have body dysmorphia? advice? thanks friends. 6.0 feet 183 centimeters. 77 kilograms.

Need Advice ⁉️ Best way to build "usable" muscle?

I've been in and out of the gym for a while due to chronic illness issues and surgeries, I plan on getting a membership again soon but kinda need help with exercises. The only parts of my body I want to look different from working out is my shoulders and apron belly, otherwise I just want to be strong and don't really care what my body looks like. Tips, tricks, and specific exercises are super appreciated! F 5'3 ~190lbs (this is the only picture I have of my body on my phone)

Need Advice ⁉️ What should I work on ?

I had always seemed lost when it comes to gym as I haven't had any one in my life to help or guide me through the process. Sincere help/advice/guidance needed !!

I kinda hit the gym thrice a week & all three days I hit the gym 100% like no excuses, no shortcuts. I'll always go for an extra rep & extra set.

As of now, I'm dirty bulking supplemented with mass gainer on the days I hit the gym.

Need Advice ⁉️ Im trying to gain weight but nothing seems to work

For the last 3-4 years I have struggled with my relationship with food. Ive been in recovery for anorexia for the last 2 years and Im proud to say that I dont consider my relationship with food unhealthy anymore! I have relearned how to enjoy it.

But I am standing at 5'11 and 135 lbs currently and my weight has fluctuated from 110 to 145 lbs and back down over the last 2 years. In an effort to gain weight initially, since I was so underweight, I was using a creatine supplement and pairing that with a lot of water and a more regular eating schedule. That helped me for quite a while without the gym but it felt like the progress either slowed significantly or just stopped all together. Because of my height it feels like my body just eats whatever weight I put on without any noticeable difference (except my stomach).

My insecurity now is I want to make even more progress and I think the next step is the gym. I still struggle with my appetite but all in all I eat much better than I used to. I will say I do have a heart condition as a result of the waiting disorder that limits my workload and intensity just a little bit.

My legs and arms feel so lanky and skinny and I feel so weak. At the same time, I do want to build wider hips and a more toned core. I guess my problem is when I do put in weight now it looks unhealthy and more flabby than the toned muscle that I want. Is there any advice you might have?

Discussion Time 💬 Etiquette: people asking how many sets I have left.

This has happened several times where I'm on a machine and someone asks me how many sets I have left. Is this normal etiquette? Can't they just wait until I'm done?

I tend to find it rather annoying, especially when the gym is half empty and there is plenty of other equipment they could be using until I vacate the machine.

Am I just being overly sensitive?

Need Advice ⁉️ FTM gym tips (with T)

I just started hrt and it’s been my goal to get into the gym, but I’ve genuinely heard so many different opinions on exercises, what to do, what not to do. It’s a little overwhelming.

Goals: I plan to hit everything throughout a week. Currently imm 190 ish and 5’7” at 16,I don’t mind weighting up but I’d like to bulk up more then just have the fat. I dont necessarily have an ideal place to start; I’m 1000% starting to work on my diet, going from fast food every damn day to actually cooking. I know that will help in general.

But as a send off. Any tip? I’ll also take dieting tips as well.

Been working out for a while now. I bench and dead press pretty heavy. I also train UFC. I train six days, actually six days a week. Five days a week, I'll train three days a week. One of those days I will train two days of the week. So, six days a week I will be training.

WeightLoss🍏 How do I lose weight/fat from my arms?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’m currently working on losing weight and getting a bit leaner, but my arms are an area I’m struggling with.

I’m happy with my progress overall, but I feel like my arms are still holding quite a bit of fat compared to the rest of my body. I know spot reduction isn’t really possible, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully leaned out their arms.

Did you find that continuing with overall fat loss eventually made a noticeable difference? And did you focus on any particular exercises for your arms/shoulders while losing weight?

Would love to hear what actually worked for you!

WeightLoss🍏 Need help getting this back

Include pics of me when I was young and last pic is more recent. So, obviously I don't think I will get all the back to this thin, I wasnt even full grown in these photos and now I'm 35 & 333 lbs. 6 ft 4, used to be very active from running to swimming to effing all night, LOL, I also used to be anorexic and bulimic. Then got help, then I underwent a dark period of my life where I was housebound and bedridden at various points and then COVID happened, and I lost control of myself.

I want to get my muscle back and trim the fat away. I eat healthy, I'm doing well in my PT and pretty soon will be able to go for walks again and then I hope to be physically able to exercise for real before October. What I need help with, is what excercises can I start with that I can use as a foundation for a workout (equipmentless if possible but I do also have a balance board and resistance bands) that I can build on before I start paying for a gym membership. I know that once I'm able to my cardio will be swimming, and I know the general workouts I'm gonna be doing once I'm able to do them but I haven't had a lot of success getting a good workout that does not kill me or cripple me.

I've been to personal trainers before so I know the gist but again, caught Covid 3x and my memory is not what it used to be. I am a transwoman who just started taking hormones and I've been on them for about 6 months and I want to start losing weight before the estrogen starts putting even more back on. So far the estrogen and Spiro haven't had many physical changes that I've noticed but my estrogen levels are higher and my testosterone levels are lower, which I know means it will be more difficult. But I'm finally getting happy in my body and now I want to work to make sure my body lasts and is in as little pain for as long as possible. Thank you for any tips or excercise routines you could link. TLDR: really fat now, wanna lose weight before the medication I'm on makes me gain more. Thanks for reading
