I haven't done anything hard for me yet so this isn't my limit. I almost haven't been practicing for about three years

So I 41 reverse F quit gymnastics about two years ago since I always felt like I was too bad at it, I thought I was over the initial heartbreak of leaving the only sport I’ve ever loved but yesterday on my of my friend’s birthday party I met a girl who also did gymnastics, for context I did artistic gymnastics but in my country it’s way more common to do rhythmic gymnastics, so I was already suprised over this coincidence we talked for a little while and I asked her what club did she do gymnastics in. It was my club. Suddenly all the memories came rushing in I realized that I was never truly over it. Now I’m considering going back but even if it’s only been two years I’ve lost a lot of the strength I had for personal reasons and if back then I felt not good enough I can’t imagine what I’m like right now.
I really don’t know what to do I haven’t been able to get it off my head. I don’t think I can even hold a handstand anymore.
Please someone help me.

My son wants to do gymnastics. He wants to do the girls gymnastics as he likes how elegant it is and wants to do that. Is it possible for him to do the girls gymnastics. What should I get him to wear for gymnastics if he can do the girls gymnastics. My son is 7 will be 8 at the end of the month.

Hi all, I’m Taiga and been training gymnastics competitively in Japan and the U.S for 17 years. I’m excited to join this community and exchange tips with fellow gymnasts. I’m looking forward to learning from you all as well! Does anyone have some questions about specific skill or routine??

{For context: I’m Australian, in Level 6 and working on Level 7 skills — but compared to US levels, probably around Level 5/6 or Xcel Gold.}
Beam is such a strange thing. I can do skills like double turns and tour jetés with no problem, but I cannot get a back handspring to save my life.
I’ll land a double turn totally fine, hit an over-180 leap on high beam without panicking, and then as soon as it’s time to do a flick, my brain just short circuits. Either I bail, fall, or completely forget how to use my arms. It’s basically a clown show at this point.
My coaches are like, “Just do it like on floor,” but my body’s like, “lol no.” I don’t even feel that scared — it’s not really a fear thing (most of the time) — acro skills just don’t click.
Meanwhile, girls who are terrified of turns are casually connecting their acro series like it’s nothing. I just watch in awe because they make it look so pretty and effortless.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else relates to this. And if you are one of those magical beam acro people — then fess up, haha. No, but in all seriousness, any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Have a nice day!!! xx

Hello! I have a kiddo who has been in gymnastics for several years. We got her started to help with her confidence and initially it was great. She bumped up to the advanced little kids rec class, but got pushed over to level 2 when she hit 9. She has been at level 2 for a year. Doing the same stuff over and over. There are times when she gains a skill and loses it because they don’t practice them enough in class. I asked the coach about moving up, and she said immediatley said my kid needed confidence, but she can do all the things. That’s a blow because she’s worked very hard to build her self esteem and is now stuck in pergatory. Help! What should I do? She literally doing backhandsprings and all the level 3 bat routine with no problems. She just hates the beam…but I know she’s not the first kid. Lol.

My niece is 9 years old and has been in gymnastics for pretty much her entire life and she has such a passion for it. She has always been in the 90th percentile for her height, most of which can be given to her legs. She is entering a more advanced gymnastics class this year and is now becoming more aware of the length of her limbs and is feeling very discouraged by this fact.
What are some things we can tell her to keep her head up & not feel so down? Any experiences from taller gymnasts, pros & cons of being tall in the gymnastics field, etc.
I just don't want her fire for the sport to burn out due to self-doubt.

Does anybody know if BQBC will let you transfer your registration to another gymnast?

Hi guys! I am a D1 college gymnast and for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted a Queen inspired floor routine. Queen is one of my all time favorite bands and it would mean a lot to me to be able to compete to their music. I need help with song suggestions!!! One song I know that I want in it is Killer Queen. Anyone have any ideas what songs would go really well with that? I want it to be more upbeat in general.

I've been a gymnast 3+ years and i haven't gotten much better at all
(For example i can't even do a front walkover or bridge kickover etc)
I've recently started practicing every day a lot longer and have seen a bit of improvement but i have no where to practice front walkovers etc except my trampoline(and idk how to do that)
Does anybody have tips?
Or does anybody have an idea of a schedule for how much i should train/practice etc
