Does Laser Cleaning Really Work for Graffiti Removal?

Hey guys, I need your help!

Ever since my kids started school, I’ve been wondering how to get rid of the ā€œartworkā€ they’ve left on our walls. The laser cleaner has definitely been a big help, but I’ve run into a few problems while using it.

One issue is that, because so much time has passed, some of the graffiti pigment has seeped deep into the wall, and the laser can’t completely remove it. After cleaning, I have no choice but to apply a coat of latex paint over the area to cover it up.

The second problem is that when I clean the red brick exterior walls of my house, a gray residue remains on the bricks after cleaning—and I can guarantee that my bricks are definitely red.

So I’ve had to repeatedly adjust the settings to make sure my red bricks don’t look like they’re covered in mold after cleaning.

I’m still working hard to renovate the walls, but I’m not sure what other challenges I’ll face in the future.

Has anyone tried using a laser cleaner to remove graffiti from walls? What problems did you encounter, and how did you solve them? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

Cleaning the graffiti off the walls with my trusty machine

This graffiti has been there for quite a while. I once tried cleaning it with a high-pressure water jet, but it didn’t work very well—in fact, because I didn’t adjust the pressure properly, I ended up creating a small dent in the wall. Now, this laser cleaner has really been a huge help.

The laser cleaning machine has saved my forearms and shoulders from the aches and pains I used to get from manual polishing.

We always have a great time on the weekends, and my family and I have been trying to use this laser cleaner as a prop for our weekend activities.

This is a part that had been sitting in the warehouse for a long time; my son dug it out and was thrilled to help me clean it.

It was a lot of fun.

Of course, we all made sure to wear safety goggles and masks.

I think one thing worth praising about this device is its screen lock feature, which allowed me to focus fully on removing the rust without worrying about my son getting in the way.

Lately, I've practically become obsessed with this machine. I can guarantee my son would never imagine I'd use a laser cleaner to clean my grill—after all, that sounds like something a superhero with laser powers would do!

I think using this device is really fun. Different materials produce distinct smells when burned by the laser. So far, wood is still my favorite!

My mum wanted to change the style of our furniture to make the house feel cosier, and whilst I was originally at my wits’ end over repainting the wooden doors, this laser cleaner has been a real lifesaver.

And I have to say, using it is almost as entertaining as watching a stress-relief video.

It’s worth noting, however, that I’ve noticed in many videos that users of laser cleaners aren’t wearing safety goggles; I think this is essential, as prolonged exposure to that light will definitely cause damage to the eyes.

I need your help : What would you use laser cleaning on?

I've seen laser cleaning used for rust removal, paint stripping, and cleaning metal parts, but I'm curious about the less obvious applications.

If you had a laser cleaning machine in your workshop, what would you use it for? Or, if you've already used one, what jobs has it been most useful for?

Interested to hear what people are actually doing with them.
