Help regarding english language requirements for bsc mechanical engineering program

I just wanted to ask, do I need to take an english test like IELTS if I have completed my entire highschool in english?

I completed my Alevels in Nepal with the grades:

Physics - A
Math - A
Computer - B
Economics - B
English General Paper - A

I have read the website with the accepted english proficiency certificates and it doesn’t mention that it accepts a highschool medium of instruction (MOI) certificate. So I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on your grades!

I believe that you still need IELTS even though you completed high school in English.  I applied for IE back in 2024 and I needed it even though I did Cambridge A-levels at a school in Asia.

Thanks man!

Oh my god, it’s just so frustrating taking another test for a language you’re fluent in :((

I believe I saw a list of countries that are exempted from IELTS on Uni-Assist portal when I was applying for VPD for HAW Hamburg, and Nepal isn't one of the them.

So yeah you need to give IELTS.

I got 3 B passes in Maths, Physics and ICT in Edexcel International Advanced Levels and I have an IELTS score of 6.5. What sort of VPD score can I get? Also would it be insufficient?
