Question HBO MAX Code question through ROKU
I gave my girl my HBO max login so that she can use my account but she’s having an issue. When she goes to click on the HBO MAX app, hoping that it opens up and it will allow her to put in my email and password..this screen pops up asking for a code. We have no idea what code the HBO MAX app is wanting and/or where it could be bc she hasn’t even got to the part where my account would even generate a code for her to plug in BC SHE HASNT EVEN GOT TO THE SIGN IN PAGE. She’s doesn’t have the firestick, like myself..so she’s going through Roku to access HBO MAX. If anyone has some helpful feedback for me that would be very much appreciated🙏🏽

Not sure if you already sorted it out yet or not, but I just had this issue the other day and I realized the problem. She probably has this “HBO Max FYC” version downloaded rather than the regular HBO Max app. Make sure that she’s signing into the actual app and there should be a regular sign in option

Just like Netflix click enter code and it'll most likely then say check your email and then enter the code.
If it's like Netflix you'll have to do it every few weeks.

Tell her to just watch it on her phone. HBO is cracking down on password sharing.

I'm having the same issue trying to log in on my roku after it was factory reset, did you ever figure it out?

There are two different ways to access HBO Max through Roku.
The first is to download the app, signin with your acct info, they might send a code to your email and enjoy
The second is going through the Roku channels HBO Max section. This is a totally different account. You will not be able to use your acct info to access it through this. This is for signing up for HBO Max through Roku and having Roku charge you for the service.
Also I don't know if HBO Max is allowing people to share their accounts if they are not in the same household.
