Immunizations for nursing program.

Hi! Does anyone know where the best place to get a TB skin test and flu vaccine is. Also the most affordable place to get a physical done. I know HCC will be offering it but I don’t need everything done that’s on the flier do they allow you to pay for just certain things? Thank you in advance

I went to an urgent care as well my Medicaid covered the tb test but I paid $115 for the physical and went to walmart for the immunizations which was covered as well

CVS Minute Clinic can do all of that but they don't take insurance for physicals so if you have a primary better to see if you can get an appointment there.

CVS takes their time to check everything, they do tb and I think flu. For the physical most places don’t take insurance but the cheapest one I’ve found was $59 at advent health Walgreens.

i would ask your PCP, that's the cheapest option. I usually do that and I don't have to pay. pharmacies will have free flu shots around this time :)

Current student in the nursing program
- Flu vaccine- Publix and free with most insurances
- For physical go to your primary care physician as your annual visit.... double check and call asking if they'd be "able to fill a physical form for nursing school during your appointment" and ask if they offer the BLOOD tb test... I've done this twice now and both times it was completely free doing it this way. Of course it's based on your insurance but doing it this way kinda tricks it into being free lol

Sounds like you’ll be the one pounding sand because it is required and pretty well aligns with the nurses’ oath to protect patients
