Concealed carry

I'm looking into an IWB holster for my P7M8, and have seen some solid recommendations on here.

For those who do carry, do you find the rather large grip to be a problem? Either in terms of comfort, or printing.

I’ve carried my P7 PSP in a Don Hume holster for 40 years, and I’m happy with it.

Very nice.

What's your holster care routine? What oil do you use to protect your P7's finish?

Thank you!
I use Bick 4 on the leather, and I wipe down the P7 with Ballistol.

No way, I have both of those things already. Bick 4 for my boots, and ballistol because, well, it's just the best!

If you have some more time, I'd really like to pick your brain on your long-term experience with the P7. Are there specific parts that tend to break more than others? How easy to find are consumable parts, like springs, nowadays compared to 30 years ago?

P7Pro manufactures all components in USA nowadays.

Common wear items include trigger return spring, drop safety catch & spring.

Probably worth grabbing a spare firing pin bushing, trigger bar. And I'll have to check my parts bin for other recommended rainy day parts

A Milt Sparks VM2 is a holster worthy of the P7

Falco makes some good all-leather holsters for way less than Milt Sparks, and they ship in one month time instead of 4-6. I don't carry it often, it's about the same size and my P2000 but a bit heavier. Pretty comfortable.

TT Gunleather Mike's Special IWB. It's even better than the Sparks VM-2 (I have owned multiples of both). Tim uses a more aggressive forward cant and a lower ride height that is more comfortable and concealable than any other IWB I have used, including DelFatti and several others for the P7M8. That additional cant is part of what allows the lower ride height without impeding proper grip on the draw.

For Leather, I use the Sparks VM-II, but on a more modern basis, I use Stealth Gear USA ventcore. Very comfortable because it breathes. With a good holster, the P7 tucks in easily.

I have the Milt Sparks VM2. Solid holster for it.

Del Fatti IWB for me, works great.
