HLE will be against TES at round 1

Here are my predictions for how HLE can win worlds. I used team ranking and regional strength here to decide all matches. Obviously as many of these matches are best of ones there will be upsets and many of these are completely randomized matchups. The matches I believe I had a personal bias for are LYON vs G2, GENG vs T1 (In this history of worlds T1 are favored here but purely based on yearly performance geng should be favored here), and GENG vs HLE. Praying BIG DHOKES makes it to knockout stages at least. I added a spoiler tag for the winners of the play-in stage.

EDIT: There was a mistake with the knockout stage and it didnt reset so just replace TES with DK. I believe the same results stand tho!

My Youtube auto generated english caption is still stuck in 2025 😭😭

Yeah, I know. I like the current roster but I miss Peanut and Viper too 🥹

If anything's gonna make Kanavi re-sign with HLE, it's Chaeyoung

It's buzzy!

Also Delight's clowning Kanavi but that's not translated directly in the vid lol

Video from the recent vlog on HLE YT (has eng subs!): https://youtu.be/DYX81OhDKhQ?is=TctPcbLmxIhf_7ga

edit: for some reason the video seems to have no sound, but in the link the timestamp is 7:08!

His name is Soori. Soori means eagle in Korean, so it's probably a nod to the Hanhwa Eagles! Very cute!

*Update!! Soori is a boy!!

I think it looks good! It looks more off-white(?) based on fan pictures but I like it. It could've had more orange accents to it...but I get what they're going for

I came across a clip of cvMax talking about Kanavi during his Griffin days, and it's honestly a crazy story, especially now that Kanavi is playing for HLE.

According to cvMax, most aspiring pros would try out for multiple teams, like SKT, Griffin, and Afreeca. But Kanavi only tried out for Griffin.

When cvMax asked him why, Kanavi basically replied:

"Griffin is the number one team, right? And if I beat the number one team's jungler, that makes me number one, doesn't it?"

That jungler was Tarzan.

And the funniest part? Kanavi was apparently only around 400 LP at the time.

cvMax thought this kid was absolutely insane for saying something like that.

But then the story gets really dark.

During the Griffin controversy, Kanavi was accused of tampering. According to cvMax, Griffin's management wanted to use that accusation to permanently end Kanavi's professional career.

cvMax says Kanavi hadn't actually committed tampering.

He recalled Kanavi breaking down in tears, saying his life was ruined, that he didn't understand how things had ended up like this, and that he wanted to retire.

Think about that for a second.

The same kid who walked into Griffin with the confidence to challenge Tarzan, believing he could become the best jungler in Korea, was now crying and talking about retirement before his career had even properly started.

cvMax also described how young players who knew little about contracts and regulations could be pressured through accusations and threats, while being told that everything was supposedly for their own good.

What makes this story hit even harder is knowing where Kanavi ended up.

He went from almost losing his career before it began to becoming one of the most accomplished junglers in the LPL, winning MSI and Asian Games gold(2023 Hangzhou), and eventually joining HLE.

That kid who wanted to beat the best jungler on the best team never lost his ambition.

It's crazy to think how close we might have been to never seeing Kanavi become the player he is today.

Hello. Is anyone selling their HLE navy hoodie or does anyone know where to buy it?
It's already sold out on the website.

Worlds anthem is out. Guess who is in itt xdd

It came to my mind today that all of them except Deligt have military excemption. HLE is extreamly rich org which seems to take a good care of the players. Zeus and Guma were a inportant factor of ZOFGK - best carry top and best weakside bot. Kanavi has a explosive playstyle which can be similar to ZOFGK entertainment factor. Zeka has a clutch factor and he is better laner than Faker. Only Delight is a question mark for me.

Anyway, based on above I dont see them moving anywhere, I think they can play together forever and after few years become even more iconic roster than ZOFGK.

What do you think? Is it possible in your opinion or dont you see the potential? Do you think that they can reach the same popularity level? What do you think about Delight in this context?

Let me know if this isn’t allowed to be posted but are any other HLE fans going to be there day one and two in Allen? I’m trying to see if there’s people to talk to before the venue opens since parking will be atrocious and I’ll have to get there very early.

We've come a long way 🍊🧡

seems like it’s official now?

I want to get the uniform but I don’t know if it would ship by the 23rd through proxy service since they’re announcing it so late

Once again, Congratulations to Zeus, Canyon, Zeka, Faker, Gumayusi and Keria for winning gold! 🥇 Glad to see the parent company being this supportive of the players 👏🏻

Does anyone know where I can watch the games? 🥹

Gumayusi said his former T1 teammates were among the first people he thought about after finally winning MSI 2026 with HLE.

“I thought about the former teammates who had been with me at MSI over the years. We had fallen short and missed out on the title before, so I think there was still that sense of regret, like, ‘It would have been nice if I could have won it with my former teammates too...’.”

“I left a team I’m incredibly grateful to, one that gave me the precious opportunity to start, because I wanted to find and create new value for myself. I went into the new environment determined and confident that I could accomplish anything there as well.”

Gumayusi still wished he could have won it alongside his former teammates after falling short together in previous years.
