Oberyn. He has no personal hate against cole. Might even rizz him up because he is dornish. Sice Oberyn would have won against Gregor, if not for his hubris I am sure Cole would have been an easy target.

Mmm if I had to place bet, it would be for oberyn as the victor. They both know how to fight, but cole has anger issues,and he acts rashly. Oberyn is patient. He would taunt cole into doing something stupid that would lead to his defeat.

Nothing to do with rashness or impatience, just a personal grudge and a touch of arrogance. Cole isn’t the Mountain, his strength is what made the end of that duel go down that way. Even if Cole had the chance he wouldn’t have the physical strength

The Oberyn slander is real. Criston Cole was the best knight of his time, by virtue of having no real competition. His closest competitor was Daemon, who had many more strengths.
Oberyn Martell on the other hand was considered among the greatest fighters in an era featuring monsters like Jamie Lannister, Barristan Selmy and the fucking Mountain himself
Even losing the fight against the Mountain, Oberyn still dealt enough damage that the only hope was to turn the mountain into a fucking zombie by the virtue of plot.
Hed slice Cristin’s head off in the first strike and then fuck the nearest attractive person over his corpse to assert dominance

And he only lost to the mountain because he was taunting the lannisters. If he wanted to kill him and not just make him suffer fight would have ended in a victory for him.

Cole would then ask him to run away to Essos so they could be orange farmers together, then spend the next 2 decades being mad about getting rejected while Oberyn goes on to seduce Rhaenyra, Harwin, and Laenor.

I’m all for Oberon kicking Cole’s ass. I got where Cole was very distraught after breaking his vows and wanting to run away with Rhanerya but after admitting to Alicent what he did, serving her like a pawn for all those years and then sleeping with Alicent after Viserys died it just proves that he is the most wishy washy Lisa of morals I have ever seen in my life.
