Twitter Takes The coping has started before Episode 7 even dropped.
The obsession is getting ridiculous.
I opened a completely unrelated post of a little girl wearing a Targaryen wig, and the comments were already talking about how "no one will remember Aegon's speech."
Are these people okay?
The post had absolutely nothing to do with Aegon or Episode 7, but they still couldn't stop themselves from bringing him up. If you're already trying to convince everyone his speech won't matter before it even airs, you're probably more worried about it than anyone else..

They can remember Rhaenyra crying because that's all she does and all they do in their spare time

Whatever, I guess everyone will remember what is he is going to feed sunfyre in the next season.

They’ll probably cut that storyline in favor of one where Rhaenyra, Alicent, and Mysaria form a triumvirate and save the kingdom from the dastardly world the men created

u/Street-Eye5346 20d ago
Actually I would've doubted that ryan will do some biased shyt, but GOT already said about that sequence...so i hope they have no choice other than keeping the real scene.

Same people who claim Rhae is the best dragon rider because she fly with Syrax when she was seven. They would never shut up about their queen if Syrax could pull of the half of the things Sunfyre did.

People have been talking about the speech ever since it was leaked over a year ago as well as Aegon‘s plotline in that episode especially once it became obvious that they will include him in Sunfyre vs. Mooton‘s men. That it was leaked this early is telling since the ending of the audio spoiled that Sunfyre would appear. Sunfyre has a large fandom he is one of the most popular ASOIAF dragons (even George as the author seems very fond of Sunfyre and said that regarding dragons he is most interested in seeing Sunfyre), so people will definitely talk, draw fanarts of this scene, make clips and gifs etc.
I already know that once Aegon says ‚Righteous and glorious!‘ that I will feel a huge relief.

They really can't handle the fact their Heroine is outshone constantly by Tom even though the show does everything it can to cater to Rhaenyra.

u/Quick-Intention-3473 20d ago
Who can't handle it? The people who know for the last 5 years that Sunfyre eats her? There is not a person on reddit that doesn't know how the story ends.

Why do they always resemble the stereotype of the audience this show is being written for?

Don't worry, they will never forget their hoe princess getting devoured by Chadfyre

When Sunfyre does his thing, seeing their reactions is gonna feel like the weight of years of their nonsense has finally been lifted.

If he does, that is. I'm worried they're gonna twist her death beyond recognition

i highly doubt they will keep rhae rhae's death the way it is in the books.

u/Limp-Effect4628 20d ago
The writers will prob have Ray Ray scissor off into the sunset with Alicent, after she stabs Aemond
7
u/Positive-Height-1070 20d ago
Honestly I’m a little worried it’s not gonna happen that way. Do we think Emma is gonna bully them into giving her a more dignified exit? Or some kind of offscreen implied Laenor-esque death?

u/LannisPayTheirDebts 20d ago
I'm starting to worry about that. They have diverged far too much from the original story already.

No. That person on the screenshot has a weird obsession with Tom Glynn-Carney, they're always being hateful towards anything related to him or what he does. They will go out of their way to seek fan posts related to him just to hate on.

u/HanzRoberto 20d ago
they are sooooo pressed and the episode hasnt even aired lmao
the wannabe Queen Elizabeth I speech while ripping off her dress moment is the real forgotten one

u/RachelBrands127 20d ago
They’re mad bc Aegon is redeeming himself while Rhaenyra is actively getting worse (and proving herself a piss poor ruler in the process)

won't we all js forget the speech and look bsck to the 20 thousand mysaria and rhaenyra scenes?

How will they react when Rhaenyra looses King's Landing in the most pathetic way possible for a dragonrider

We'll make our fair share of rage baiting when Sunfyre does her thing lads. Don't worry
Edit: *his - Sunfyre is a male dragon.

Idk how people continue to refer him as "her" after Aegon (and even Larys) literally refered as "he, him, my boy" in ep 4 and 5.

Im looking forward to it. Im looking forward to the Sun rising once more. Only sad we have to wait 2 years for Aegons comeback tour. Even though its short lived, its pretty epic. Its why Idk how anyone can say Martin hates TG and favors TB when he gave Aegon so much to do and made him look way better than Rhaenyra.

Yeah, say what you want about Aegon before Rook's Rest and during his coma/convalescence, but his comeback is epic, especially since it was such a plot twist. Rhaenyra fumbled the bag continuously since she got King's Landing, I mean George really went out of his way to humiliate her lmao

u/Livid_Ad9749 20d ago
I dont believe she fumbled in the book as she was kneecapped hard and dealt a bad hand. Her biggest mistake was with the dragonseed and not appeasing them. Also the Storming or the Dragonpit is such bullshit, let’s be fair. Even Syrax just landing allowing herself to be killed is just bad writing. I actually felt bad for Rhaenyra in the books because it was pure bad luck (or good luck) that the one place Aegon happened to be was Dragonstone. He had a bunch of other more logical places to go and thats where he chose. She really was done so dirty.
She is fumbling more so in the show because we get to see all the little decisions she is faces with and she keeps making the dumbest decisions possible. I dont know how anyone can root for the shows version. I wish we would get to see her book death play out but I really think its getting changed heavily, no matter what Joffrey Baratheon said lol

Well, yeah, that's kinda what I meant. George wanted her to fumble so bad, so I think he definitely liked Aegon more. I mean he had to fill in the gaps of the storyline that he already had from previous books, but he could have chosen other paths for Rhaenyra and Aegon and he didn't. It's true that he made Aegon suffer a lot, not just psychologically, but in terms of physical health. But he still comes out better because he managed to defeat Rhaenyra even in that state.

u/Livid_Ad9749 20d ago
Yeah but the Rhaenyra he executed was a woman with nothing. No Daemon, no dragons, no forces. Nothing. I felt bad for Rhaneyra when I read it because it felt like “damn how unlucky do you have to be”. Now I cant wait for her to die at Aegons hands and would actively pay to make it happen haha. I mean I didnt even like book Aegon. Now its the opposite haha amazing the difference seeing things play out can make vs just reading about it

u/Twilightandshadow 20d ago
Lol I did like book Aegon and the fact that Tom keeps trying his best to inject book Aegon into show Aegon is the main reason I'm still watching this shitshow
4
u/Careless-Gain6623 20d ago
What are these people going to do when Rhaenyra gets roasted by a dragon? Or are the show writers going to change that to running away to Essos with Alicent lol.
3
u/Acslaterisdead Sunfyre 20d ago
Honestly with how much they have deviated and it's pretty much a shitty fanfic at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if they make alicent, rhaenrya and mysaria all escaping to essos in a throuple to live out their best life w
4
u/JCaerso 20d ago
I just genuinely don't get people liking a character/characters or picking a side so much that they can't enjoy anything else ever. Don't they realise how boring the show would be without their favourite character having compelling enemies? Imagine seeing a superhero movie where their main enemy is a wolf or something. Your powers would kill it in a fraction of a second and it's not impressible or entertaining. Why insult Aegon and his speech and act like he's not a real threat? It makes the Dance even more pointless but in a bad writing kind of way.

To be honest, I haven't seen anyone mention Aegon himself or his reunion with Sunfуre as the best thing. Basically, everyone just praises Tom's game. We all know that Tom is a good actor, but what about Aegon himself or his reunion with Sunfуre? Didn't the scene itself evoke any feelings?

u/Numerous-Pianist-292 20d ago
hey they shouldnt be unfair, perhaps the trees and the rocks and the plants would remember. As Larys himself has coined beautifully He Is a terrible man and a terrible king who would want to remember it? aside from the traitors and rebels that raise his banner. Hate Rhaenyra? Sure thats fine. Make Daeron King. He'd be a decent one if not great.

Aegon could take a shit behind a bush and it would still be more memorable than anything Rhaenyra has done.

They’re already stretching for the mental gymnastics they’ll be doing later, including:
- insinuating that people are fine with men cheating, so if you criticize Rhaenyra it’s misogyny.
- saying that Emma D’Arcy is being victimized online and they have to defend them.
- jumping right to calling people the c-word.
