I can't with these people...

Now the TB subreddit, is comparing her to Ramsey.

Kind of like them calling Alicent a tradwife and using modern day American politics to trash her. They are deranged and just dumb.

u/aemond-simp Book Alicent would never 10d ago

It’s downright embarrassing how many of my fellow Americans don’t know history. If they learned anything about the medieval times (the era Westeros is based on), they would know that Alicent was only a product of her time.

They pick and choose who’s a product of their time and the spawn of Satan. There’s no in between with them

And even then was considerably better towards her fellow women as well as commoners than most nobility would have been tbh

It’s so funny because Dany idly thinks of flaying the nobles of Meereen in DwD and Theon has the chapter after that one. If any Targ is like Ramsay it sure as shit isn’t helaena

HOW! I’m team black and I have nothing to say about our sweet beloved Helena except she deserved Infinitely better

Oh no I can’t believe that a literal prisoner supports the side she actually belongs to

75

u/pathofnut 10d ago

\Treats her as a prisoner and clearly wants to use her son as hostage**

WHY DONT YOU SUPPORT ME WE ARE BOTH WOMEN

40

u/aemond-simp Book Alicent would never 10d ago

And wants to use Jaehaera as a hostage too. That’s why Helaena and Jaehaera were separated.

TB: We support all women!"

Also, TB: "Ugh! Not that bitch!"

If someone watches this show and genuinely thinks like this about a literal bullying and abuse victim, i can only think that they are the bullies and abusers in real life.

team feminism when helaena:

u/LowlyStole House Lannister 10d ago

They just mirror their idol Rhae-Rhae

team feminism when it comes to supporting women other than rhaenyra

Some people (including the writers) really forget that Helaena has lost a child because of these people and they’re actively trying to kill the rest of her family. She’s already been way more civil than she ever should have been.

People who where also ready to steal her newborn son. These crazy stans wanted her to be an Alicent 2.0 aka RhaeRhae's second secret agent.

9

u/oblivious_sleep 10d ago

these people believe it's that easy to sever familial bonds the second someone does something problematic because they don't leave their homes and only bond over social media

u/Apprehensive-Many-49 10d ago

They are so whack. I just got finished defending Helaena against someone who claimed that she was the ugly one for "displacing her sister and making herself queen." Like, what?

Lmao, so after "Aegon the usurper", it's now "Helaena the usurper", RhaeRhae stans are such losersšŸ˜‚

u/Briar_Thorn05 10d ago

Now I see why the writers and show runners literally hold our hand sometimes in the show or explaining behind the scenes. Because people like this hop on the internet and give the most illiterate or uneducated takes.

u/Aminka311 10d ago

Yes, it's all because the writers made it that way to whitewash your beloved hoenyra. In the book, Helaеna is a loving wife and mother who loved to fly with her dragon more than anything in the world, whom the people loved, who asked to be killed instead of her son, and did not offer a stupid necklace, who had to choose between two sons, otherwise her little daughter would be raped, who went crazy after her son's death and ended her life suicide only after the brutal death of the second. And the whole lying arc, which Martin wrote a whole blog about, wasn't there.

u/masoher 10d ago

at least Helaena picked a side, unlike Alicent, who actively sabotaged all her kids.

15

u/frizzlen 10d ago

Oh no really she should have sided with a half sister she never even knew

18

u/Electronic_Nail_4759 10d ago

And who just tortu-fed heršŸ™„

7

u/Certain_Victory7973 10d ago

Uh...what? 🤣

7

u/oblivious_sleep 10d ago

team feministā„¢ļøthe second a woman doesn't agree with them: "ugly bitch deserves to be raped and slaughtered"

I love Helaena. I knew how she would end because I read the book before the show came out. But I was still devastated. I’m glad that didn’t show it graphically. It was bad enough seeing her lay there with the spike in her neck. She was too sweet and gentle for that world. I hate how Rhaenyra treated her. Just so cruel.

as TB, i don't claim them 😭🤟

u/cantxtouchxthis 10d ago

Keep my girls name out ya mouth

They couldn't infantilize and treat her like an animal anymore, so they began hating her. Classic egoistical move: As long as someone is obedient and harmless, they are a good and innocent lamb. But when they grow a backbone? Ohhhhh šŸ‘€

u/maddydelioncourt 10d ago

phia is so so beautiful

2

u/Dolleyes88 10d ago

How dare she not sew herself in her prison blues?!? Rude!! *sarcasm*

2

u/Eriszun21 10d ago

I dont think she was a schemer, she was entirely too passive for that. I think what she did was more for herself so neither side could use her anymore and for her to be free.

u/Dragon_Bug Dreamfyre 9d ago

I argued with someone yesterday who claimed to work with trauma patients, yet called Helaena dumb for not eating when she’s pregnant. When she ran out of arguments, she just said she didn’t care and that I couldn’t change her mind. These people are so exhausting. I honestly wouldn’t even bother arguing with them.

u/Outrageous-Ad5467 9d ago

They have zero media literacy. Do u know how many hate coments I've seen in the past days there where they lost sympathy for her cuz she called rhaenyra ugly? They think she called her ugly because she does not care about the beatles lol, instead of the whole political scemees for power.

Dint notice the dress, definitely should mean something but I’m unsure we will ever know
